Purex Powershot Detergent Review & GIVEAWAY

Review:

The latest detergent I have been using is the new Purex Powershot Detergent. I am in awe at how less messy it is to do laundry. It is so easy to flip the cap and have it do all the measuring for you. It also does not leave any dripping down the side of the bottle especially since my aim is not very good when measuring into a cap!

The smell on your clothes afterwards is pretty much on par with other Purex Detergents. Some do not like how strong they can be but for me I like to know my clothes are clean. This detergent gets an A in my book!

Giveaway:

One lucky reader will receive 2 coupons for a FREE bottle of Purex Powershot Detergent! See the Rafflecopter below. All entries are optional but the more you do the better chance you have of winning.

January 2015 Popsugar Must Have Box Review & Unboxing

Please watch my unboxing video and then come back and read this post :)

The Popsugar Must Have Box is a subscription box which costs $39.99 per month, BUT all the products you get are full size and the boxes are always worth more than $100! If you love getting surprises than this box is for you!

The items in the box:

1.) Jack + Lucy Pom Pom Hat: This is such a cute hat and matches the gloves that we received in a box last year! This is the first time I have seen a winter hat in a Popsugar box so I am loving it! Super comfy and warm! Value: $32

2.) First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream: I have heard great things about this body cream! This was def what I needed in a winter box! Value: $28

3.) KeepCup Brew 12-Ounce Reusable Coffee Cup: You do not have to use this for coffee, I personally do not drink coffee. It keeps beverages warm so hot tea or hot chocolate could also be kept in this cup. It is so cute too. I am a pinkholic! $26

4.) Manduka eQua Hand Towel: This is most likely the only item in the box I will not use. I do not do yoga and do not necessarily need another towel. $16

5.) ToGoSpa EYES: I can not wait to use this! These are refreshing eye gel pads that reduce dark circles and puffiness. We have not received anything like this in a box since I have been subscribed! $12.50

6.) Skin Jewel Tattoos Empire: I have seen these types of jewel tattoos on celebrities so I am intrigued! $18

7.) General Mills Nature Valley Protein Granola: This is in the Peanut Butter & Dark Chocolate flavor and wow is it good! I am just eating it by itself and am very much enjoying it. It is a big bag as well! $3.68

While the value of the box is a bit lower than last months I am so in love with this box. So much that I would say that it even makes my top 5 favorite boxes and I have been subscribed for two years. What I love about it is that it includes 7 items (right on par with the number of items that should be included--last month only had 6 items). Also the items were DIFFERENT. Not that I do not love scarfs, mascara, lip gloss, and jewelry which come in most Popsugar boxes but I love that this box includes exciting items that I will use and that we do not typically get in a box. For sure looking forward to next month!!

Total value of the box: $136.18

December 2014 Birchbox Review & Unboxing

View my Unboxing Video and then come back and read my post :)

Overall thoughts: I give this box a rating of 4/5. The nail polish is full size and even though most of the samples are small there are 7 samples in this box! I received a Ruffian nail polish in the last box though so I could use a break from getting them. I think I have about four of them in total.

Inside the box is:

1.) Davines Replumping Superactive | I have not tried this yet. I do not really need this product but will still try it. It is a great size for a Birchbox sample. It claims to make hair looking thicker and shinier.  Full size, $39.50

2.)  Davines Replumping Shampoo and Conditioner Duo | These are to coincide with the previous product. Likewise, I have not tried them yet as I will use them all together but they are supposed to have the same benefits as the Superactive Serum. Full size, $25.50

3.) Manna Kadar Lip Locked | This lip primer, stain, and gloss is actually really pigmented and a very pretty color. Love it. Full Size, $24

4.)  Ruffian Nail Lacquer in Ruffian Red | Such a pretty color but do I really need another plain red nail polish? Not really. I will use it but it does not excite me. Full Size, $10

5.)  SeaRX Anti-Wrinkle Facial Lift Treatment Serum | I do not need an anti-wrinkle product but I will try it. It is always good to prevent wrinkles. Sample size is too small to form an opinion on it though. Full Size, $34

6.)  Vasanti Cosmetics Kajal Extreme Intense Eye Pencil- Rose Gold | This is such a pretty liner! It is very festive for the holidays but also any time of the year! Full Size, $18

Is this box worth $10: YES! The nailpolish alone pays for the box (again!)
Is this box worth my $10: Yes. Not the most exciting box for me but I am in love with the rose gold eyeliner and the Manna Kadar Lip Locked. The other samples I could do without but would still use the nail polish making it worth my $10.

Disclaimer: These opinions are my own and I was not asked, nor do I get compensation, to review the box or these items.

Review: MuvUSA Sport & Running Armband for iPhone 5, 5S, 5C and iPod Touch 5 (Black)

I recently got some new workout clothes and they look and feel great but the only downside to them is no pockets! Needless to say I was on the hunt for a way to run with my iPhone without having to hold it.

I have tried the MuvUSA Sport & Running Armband both when running and while at the gym and I love the freedom!

This armband fits my iPhone5 perfectly and is actually pretty comfortable. I have tried it over a sleeve and without a sleeve and it works just as well both ways! What I love most is it does not slip down which is the problem I have had with these types of items in the past. It is easy to use the phone through the plastic cover.

This armband is also sweat and water resistant as well as scratch resistant so you do not have to worry about damaging your phone or iPod. For me a case with a clip would still be the best option but this product is only $12 so it is well worth the cost.

This product comes in Black and Pink and you can purchase it on Amazon for $11.99 with free prime shipping.

December 2014 Popsugar Must Have Box Unboxing & Review

Please watch my unboxing video and then come back and read this post :)

The Popsugar Must Have Box is a subscription box which costs $39.99 per month, BUT all the products you get are full size and the boxes are always worth more than $100! If you love getting surprises than this box is for you!

The items in the box:

1.) SPUN by Subtle Luxury Speckled Metallic Scarf: This is such a pretty scarf! It is not too heavy so it can really be used any time of the year which is a huge plus! Value: $62

2.) Sparklepop Sydney Necklace: Prettiest necklace ever in a Popsugar box? No. Ugliest? Still No. Even though I am not in love with this necklace I will still wear it. Value: $42

3.) Canvas Dauville Platinum Bowl: The only item in this months box that I will not use. I just really have no need for a bowl like this. If it were pretty then I would find something to put in it but I do not really like it as a decoration. $29

4.) Smashbox Be Legendary Long-Wear Lip Lacquer: Super pigmented and super chic color lip lacquer. Love it! $24

5.) Knot & Bow Parcel Tags: I can see why some people may not like having this as an item. However, at the time I opened the box I needed tags for gifts. They do not come with strings which was a bummer so I just stuck them onto the gifts with tape. $4

6.) Williams-Sonoma Cupcake Mix in Vanilla Bean.: I can not wait to try this! I have so much holiday goodness leftover that I want to hold off on making this until I finish all the other leftover treats. Can. Not. Wait!!! $14.95

The total value of the box is awesome compared to the price you pay! I will get much more use out of the items in this box than I did in last months. This box was also MUCH MUCH better than last Decembers box. The last couple boxes however have only had 6 items when most boxes come with 7 or even 8.

Total value of the box: $175.95

Review: iPhone 5/5S/5C Anti-Glare Anti-Fingerprint Matte Screen Protectors

Screen protectors are very important to keep the screen of your phone (or any touch device) protected from direct, oil, and scratches. I usually buy the Zagg brand just because they seem to be one of the most popular on the market but I was recently sent one from Cost Brothers and I like them just as much, if not better, than the Zagg brand.

It fit my iPhone 5 perfectly and I loved how my finger prints and makeup did not show up on the protector making my phone look dirty.

I also loved that the protector was protective but also still very thin so that it did not interfere with the touch screen!

You can purchase a 3 pack on Amazon for $5.49 with free prime shipping! This item is currently on sale but the original price of $23 is still cheaper than the Zagg ones you purchase from Best Buy or Staples.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

November 2014 Popsugar Must Have Box Unboxing & Review

Please watch my unboxing video and then come back and read this post :)

The Popsugar Must Have Box is a subscription box which costs $39.99 per month, BUT all the products you get are full size and the boxes are always worth more than $100! If you love getting surprises than this box is for you!

The items in the box:

1.) Simon & Schuster The Secret Recipes Book : I have no use for recipe books as I find all my recipes online. However, I did sell the book and got about $15-$20 back for it so it was worth getting some money back from the box. Value: $35

2.) SORIAL Saffiano Wallet on  a Chain: This is the big ticket item in this months box and I love it. This wallet is super chic and I love the navy blue color! Value: $49

3.) K. Hall Simpatico Ambergris Shea Butter Cream: Even though I am stocked up like a CVS, a lotion is always a good item to give in a winter box. $22

4.) Tiny Prints Thoughtful Heart Stationery: This stationary is SO cute that I wish I still wrote letters. I am not sure if I will gift it or hang on to it to when I do need to write a note. $15

5.) Wine Glass Writer Custom 3-Pack for Popsugar: These are so cool. You can write on your wine glass and easily wipe it off also so it does not stain the glass. Even though it is cool I personally have no use for it. First, I do not drink wine and second I do not ever have parties so it is just not useful to me. $9.95

6.) G.H Cretors Chicago Mix Poppped Corn: This Popcorn was a delicious caramel and cheese mix. However, only half the bag was filled the rest was air. Still love getting delicious food in the box $3.69

The total of the box was even lower than lasts months total which was lower than most months. Also this box contained two less items than last months box. The box was worth my money since I will personally use half the items and got money back for the book but it was not the most exciting.

Total value of the box: $134.64
