Review: La Fede's Aqua Series Passport Holder

Tomorrow marks the start of November and for me that means the start of holiday shopping. I will be honest, I already have a few things that I have set aside that I have collected throughout the year but every year there are always a few people that I am struggling to pick out gifts for the week before Christmas.

I was attracted to this Passport Holder by La Fede since it is very versatile. It comes in three colors (Black, Navy Blue, and Marsala Redwine, all pictured). This is a great gift for someone you know well, as a secret Santa gift, or even as a Yankee swap gift as many people probably do not have a Passport Holder and it is something that many can use. Even if one does not have a Passport they can still keep personal items in here that they do not want to get ruined.

I chose a Passport Holder in the color black since I do not know who I will be giving it to and I felt that because of this reason black was the safest choice.

Here are some specs of the Passport Holder (obtained from Amazon);

  • Imported
  • L : 6 inches H 4 inches D 0.4 inches
  • Made with 100% cowhide, top grain and vegetable tanning
  • Aqua ingrained texture and slim simple design for a great professional look
  • 4 card slot, side inner pocket and a wing pocket
  • Come with La Fede gift box, dust bag and care instruction card.

I loved the packaging the Passport Holder comes in. The Box is a nice brown cover with a white inside. It just has the company name and logo on the box. No one will know what is inside as the name of the product is not included on the box and it is fancy enough to not have to wrap it and just place a bow on it. The Passport Holder is inside a dust bag. Once you take the dust bag out of the box it is a tight squeeze to get it back in so try not take it out a million times as to not ruin the box.

La Fede sent me this product for review and was nice enough to give me a coupon code to pass along to you guys as well. The coupon code is: CGS4OTGU  and will take 15% off your order. It can be used on the Passport Holder as well as their card holder.

October 2015 PetGiftBox Review & [COUPON CODE]

Please watch my unboxing video and then come back and read this post :)

PetGiftBox is a monthly subscription box for, you guessed it, your pet! They offer a cat box (which is the one I am reviewing) and they also offer a dog box (which has 3 selections based on the size of your dog). The boxes cost $18.99/month for a yearly subscription, $20.99/month for a 6 month subscription, $23.99/month for a 3 month subscription, or you can pay monthly and the cost is $28.99/month. You can also purchase a one time box if you would like to send one as a gift.

Each box contains between 4 and 6 items that are hand picked by the PetGiftBox team. The items in the box can include treats, toys, and other home items.

My cats love getting these boxes! It is a nice treat for them to get some new toys and goodies!

If you want to get your own box for your pet you can use the coupon code 'codyandkaci' at checkout to get 25% off your first box! To sign up or find out more info visit www.petgiftbox.com

Lots of Halloween themed toys this month!!

The items in the box:

This months theme is Meowloween!

1.) Halloween Boo-Dana: This Bandana is a little small for my chubby cats but we will see what we can do for Halloween since it is pretty cute!

2.) Cats in the Kitchen Pumpkin Jack Splash: This was a Tuna in Pumpkin Soup recipe. Both of my cats could not get enough of this. We served this alone like a wet food but you can also put this on top of dry food.

3.) Feather Boa Wand: This is a catnip toy on a wand so obviously this is their favorite item in the box (other than the food of course) so we have been having a lot of fun with this.

4.) Lattice Balls: These are 4 hard plastic balls (2 black and 2 orange). I thought this was really cute because of Halloween however my cats have not really cared for these. They prefer soft balls. Hopefully they will try them out eventually.

5.) Catnip Pumpkin 6.) Spooky Catnip Toy (Ghost) and 7.) Catnip Halloween Mouse: All 3 of these are toys filled with cat nip. So far I have only given them the mouse one as I do not want them all to wear out scent wise. The smell is really strong even I can smell the catnip from far away so of course they are thrilled!

I really liked the theme this month. I love how they make the boxes festive around the holidays. All of the items matched the Halloween theme well and my cats are super thrilled with the selection in the box. The information card did not have the prices on it so I do not have a total value however there was SEVEN items in the box this month!!

PetGiftBox supports America's Vet Dogs which is a non-profit organization that provides guide dogs for disabled veterans. These dogs also help PTSD patients at VA Hospitals. It is great to see a company that is helping the community.

To sign up go here: www.petgiftbox.com and do not forget to use coupon code "codyandkaci" to get 25% off your first box.

PetGiftBox sent me a complimentary box for review. All opinions are my own and I do not recommend any products or services that I would not use myself. No other compensation was received.

October 2015 Popsugar Must Have Box Review & Unboxing!

Please watch my unboxing video and then come back and read this post :)

The Popsugar Must Have Box is a subscription box which costs $39.99 per month, BUT all the products you get are full size and the boxes are always worth more than $100! If you love getting surprises than this box is for you!

The items in the box:

1.) Why Not Me? By Mindy Kaling: I do not read books very often. Even though this looked like a funny book it probably wasn't something that I would read through very fast and therefore would just collect dust on the shelf. I decided to sell this and even though I only got about $10 for it, it ended up making the rest of the box cost me $25 opposed to $35. Value: $25

2.) Savvy Sleepers Luxury Satin Pillowcase: I am still excited for this but I thought it was going to be two pillowcases when in fact it was only one. So basically the pillows on my bed are mismatched now. However I still am happy to have it since it helps prevent sleep wrinkles and reduce hair breakage. This was a unique item to put in the box. Value: $36

3.) Easy, Tiger Brown Paper Liquor Bag Set: These are designed paper bags that fit a wine bottle perfectly. It says to use them for Halloween but they are not Halloween themed at all so you can basically use them any time. I will end up using these eventually since I often give my Dad wine. $8

4.) Belgian Boys De Stroopwafle: I think this is such a neat snack! This is a caramel filled cookie waffle and if you sit it on top of a hot cup of coffee or tea it will melt the caramel inside so that it will have a crunchy outside and a soft inside. I can not wait to try this I think this is so cool. It also sounds delicious. Sometimes Popsugar includes healthier snacks in the box that do not taste that great so I was glad to see this was the food item. $1.59

5.) The Honest Company Sea Salt + Sugar Body Scrub: I have never tried anything from this line before so I was excited to get this product. This helps reduce the bumps on the back of my thighs so I will mainly use this for that and I will for sure repurchase it if it continues to work! It also smells very fresh! $17

6.) Richer Poorer Hope Slipper Socks: These are cute socks designed by Popsugar and Richer Poorer for Breast Cancer awareness month. I love new socks and it will soon be cold enough to wear these. $15

7.) It's a 10 Miracle Leave In Product: This is a travel size special extra. I am happy to have more leave in conditioner. I have tried this before and I liked it a lot. I do prefer the Beauty Protector brand more so I have not repurchased this but am still happy to have more of it.

They added in another special extra "Gift Card" worth $40. However it must be used on a Personalized item on DanielleStevens.com. The cheapest product I found was $48. Therefore this is considered a coupon to me and will not be included in the total of the box.

I loved this box. Not only was it packed with 7 items but they are all items that I will use. The book I sold but obviously because I could sell it it is not considered a loss. Everything else (minus the coupon mentioned above) is perfect for me. This is def one of my Top 5 boxes from the year so far! The total value of the box is lower than usual but I think that is because Popsugar included the "Gift Card" in the cost where as I do not since I would have to spend extra money to use it.

Total value of the box: $114.55

Kozy Shack Indulgent Recipe Pudding

Kozy Shack Indulgent Recipe Pudding is a new product by Kozy Shack. The Indulgent Recipe comes in four flavors: Chocolate Truffle, Dark Chocolate, Salted Caramel, and Vanilla Bean.

BzzAgent sent me two FREE Product Coupons to try out some of the pudding flavors. Unfortunately when I got to the store all but one flavor had expired. I kindly told the associate in the aisle about the expired products but I was still only left with the option of trying one of the flavors.

The non-expired flavor in the pudding section was the Chocolate Truffle. I picked up two packages and am pretty darn happy that I at least got two of this flavor. I loved it. It tasted like chocolate pudding but had a real chocolate taste unlike some other brands I have tried that have more of an imitation chocolate taste. The pudding was also very creamy and you could taste the milk along with the chocolate, yum!

Had I had all four options to choose from I would still have gone with the Chocolate Truffle but would have also tried the Salted Caramel out as well. If you have tried the Salted Caramel or one of the other two flavors please let me know your thoughts in the comments below.

As always even though I received the product free my opinions are 100% my opinion and had it been a less than stellar experience I would have still wrote this blog post with my thoughts.

October 2015 Birchbox Review & Unboxing!

View my Unboxing Video and then come back and read my post :)

Overall thoughts: I give this box a rating of 4.5/5. This was an awesome box. I will not rank it among my favorites since a couple of the products did not excite me but I love the selection! All of the sample choice items this month were mascaras. There were also two curated boxes. I chose this curated box because I did not care about choosing a mascara and I liked all the moisturizers in the box.

Inside the box is:

1.) Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion | This is a tried and true moisturizer from a great brand.  I loved this in the box! Full size, $26

2.) Estee Lauder Revitalizing Supreme Global Anti-Aging Creme | This creme fights everything from lines and wrinkles to dullness and dehydration. This is great for me because my skin has been looking a bit dull lately.  Full size, $50

3.) Origins Checks and Balances Frothy Face Wash | I love trying out different face washes so I was excited for this product. Full Size, $21

4.)  Prescriptives False Eyelashes Plush Mascara | I have so many mascaras that I did not need another one. Not totally thrilled for it but I do not think I have tried this one before so that will be fun once I get to it. Full Size, $23

5.)  Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation PrimerI have tried this primer before and did not care for it. I tried it again and still do not care for it. I have used other primers that are much better.  Full Size, $36

Is this box worth $10: Yes. This box is filled with high end brands!
Is this box worth my $10Yes. I really needed the moisturizers and all the other items were just bonus. I knew in advance what I was getting so I felt that it was worth $10 to buy this box.

Disclaimer: These opinions are my own and I was not asked, nor do I get compensation, to review the box or these items.
