Litter Genie Review

I won a Litter Genie from a Petsmart Sweepstakes a while back and have been using it since, well until now when I just threw it in the trash.

The litter genie was convenient in the fact that if you see your cat use the bathroom you can scoop it up right away and put it in the genie. However, if you are not to do that anyway than I see no point in you having one. If you now scoop the litter once a day and put it out in the trash than there is really no need for this other than the fact that you can put it right beside the box and therefore I see it as another way for me to be lazy.

On the instructions that came with the litter genie it says "If you have 1 cat, the refill should last up to 2 months. You'll know it's ready to be replaced when you see the black line on the film." Well I have two cats and the thought of having pooped stored in a box inside of my house for a month kind of disturbed me, but I tried the product out anyway. What pushed me over the edge though was I never saw a "black line" appear and therefore did not know when to empty out the bin. When I opened the up the box to take out the bag the poop spilled out of the bag into the box and some onto the floor. EW! This is the reason I just threw the whole thing out, because I did not want to clean it since it disgusted me so much!

For me, I do not think I will  try a product like this again, and if I do I will make sure to check to see if it needs to be changed by my own judgement. If you want to try this make sure that if you have one cat (do not wait 2 months to change it like the instructions said and do not wait for the black line to appear!) and if you have two cats I honestly would change it once every couple weeks. In this case, as long as your trash pickups in your area are often I do not see a need for some to have this since the cost of up keeping this by buying the replacement bags and then buying litter bags on top of it is a little much.

Have you tried this product and love it? Do you also hate it? Leave any opinions below. Also, leave any questions you may have below.

June 2013 Conscious Box

This is the second box I have received. I won two 3 month subscriptions so I will actually be getting 4 months worth of boxes since the subscriptions overlap. Conscious Box costs $19.95 a month and all of the products are safe and natural. You can sign up here and can choose between a Classic Subscription, a Vegan Subscription, or a Gluten Free Subscription.

Here is my unboxing video for the June Box:

Here is a quick look at all the goodies I received the the box:

This box is much better than last months box. I love that there are more food and beauty items (the little Conscious elves must have read my post last month!) A lot of these items I will use. I am excited to try out all three of the snack bars since I am trying to eat slightly healthier than I am now (without compromising taste of course!)

I have already tried one of the Flavrz Superfruit drink mixes (just add to water for flavor) and it tasted great. I am super excited than they included four of these drink mixes in the box!

I have yet to try the Sneakz milkshake. Last months box had another brands milkshake and while it tasted good while you drank it the aftertaste was too disgusting and I could not bear it.

As previously stated this box was much better than last months and I will give a full opinion on the service after my four months of boxes are up.

June 2013 Popsugar Must Have Box!

Please watch my unboxing video and then come back and read this post :)

The Popsugar Must Have Box is a subscription box which costs $35 per month, BUT all the products you get are full size and the boxes are always worth more than $100! If you love getting surprises than this box is for you!.

The items in the box:

1.) Gorjana & Griffin Zuma Scarf: This is such a nice looking scarf. I love the colors and even though I will not be wearing it for the next couple months I will be excited to wear it in the fall. Value: $62
2.) Juice Beauty Stem Cell Repair Moisturizer | Sample CC Creams. I have tried Juice Beauty previously through Birchbox and I LOVE their products. This is my favorite item in the box. I am super excited to start using this. Value: $65 and $8 for the two samples.
3.) Hard Candy Fitness DVD- Addicted to Sweat 4: I am excited to try this workout DVD. I am currently doing Insanity but will be taking some time off of that to use this DVD! $20
4.) Book- Revenge Wears Prada: The Devil Returns: Great item for the box but I will be selling the book since I can read it for free at the library. I hope they make a movie sequel though! $25
5.) Project 7 Quench the Thirsty Witergreen Mints: Mints are always good to keep in your purse and the packaging is so cute. $3
6.) Popcorn, Indiana Fit Popcorn: Though I usually do not prefer the sea salt flavor I do love Popcorn so I am excited to try this. Pretty big size also. $3

Wow! This is my favorite box as of yet! I know I have said in previous months that I may or may not stay subscribed. This box has swayed me into staying subscribed, for now, but Popsugar needs to send out more boxes like this! I loved that this box did not really have a theme. I feel when they have a theme, like the party one they had last month, it usually results in me not using most of the products in the box.

Total value of the box: $186.00. Very High volume box. I only paid $35 for the box and will be using pretty much everything!

The Trendy Box Review

The Trendy Box is a Subscription box service which provides subscribers with 2-4 fashion accessories each month. A monthly subscription is $25 per month but you may also subscribe to a 3 month, 6 month, or 1 year subscription plan to save some money. The Trendy Box purchases accessories at wholesale prices so that they can include them in the boxes. As an added bonus they also send out an extra piece in your birthday month's box! I think this is so cool since I have personally not subscribed to a box that has done this yet. I was lucky enough to receive a complimentary box to review. Keep reading for my unboxing video and my opinion on the box!

My June Box Included:
- Reviera Maya Necklace | $19.99
- Belize Love | $9.99
- Love & Heart Bangle | $14.99
- Sassy Issy Knuckle Ring | $12

Thoughts: I loved how the box had a theme (all of the products were related to love) but I must admit that I was expecting at least one higher end piece. I would say an item with a retail value of around $50 would have been nice to include in the box. I received four pieces though, which is awesome, so maybe in the months where there are less items they include pricier jewelry. I will personally wear two out of the four items (Riviera Maya Necklace and Love & Heart Bangle). I will not wear the Knuckle Ring since that is not my style and I honestly thought that the Belize Love Bracelet (Top) looked a little cheap when I put it on.

If you are into costume jewelry or just need to update your jewelry collection I think this would be a good box for you to subscribe to. I also think that this would be a pretty cool gift to give to a friend that is obsessed with jewelry. If you already subscribe or subscribe in the future please leave pictures of your box or a link to your unboxing video in the comments so I can check them out!

June 2013 Birchbox Review & Unboxing

View my Unboxing Video and then come back and read my post :)

Overall thoughts: I love this box. All of these products I will use and all are pretty generous sizes compared to other Birchbox's I have received. Extra Bonus: No Perfume sample :). I would not mind the perfume samples if they were just a tad larger in size, but when I receive them I feel like I am being jipped.

Inside the box is:

1.) Birchbox & Color Club Wanderlust Collection Nail Polish: Reign in Spain. This is a good size nail polish and a very pretty color. However, I have noticed that it chips very easily! Full size, $8

2.)  Klorane Gentle Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk. I am excited to try this product since I am almost out of dry shampoo. This is also a pretty generous sample! Full size, $18

3.) Mirenesse Glossy Kiss Lipstick. My favorite item in the box! Such a pretty color! The packaging says you can also use it on your cheeks, but I will probably just use it on my lips since I have light skin and prefer a subtle look on my cheeks. I believe this is full size, if not than it is extremely close to it!  Full Size, $26.55

4.) Suki Exfoliate Foaming Cleanser. Though it looks small, a little of this product would go a long way so I can see myself using this for a month if not longer. I love the scent and the sugar crystals are just the right size for exfoliating. Full Size, $32.95

5.) The beauty extra this month is Nourishing Body Cream. I have already used the vanilla scent and love it! I got 2 uses out of the little foil packet so that is not terrible since they include two of them!  Full Size, $15

Is this box worth $10: Yes, all of the samples are generous sizes and a couple I would consider as full size for my preferences.
Is this box worth my $10: Yes! I will be using ALL products in the box this month (which is rare usually there is an item or two I will not use). Full size products and no perfume sample makes me happy too. I am okay with foil packets as long as only one of the items is a foil packet.

Disclaimer: These opinions are my own and I was not asked, nor do I get compensation, to review the box or these items.

Pond's Evening Soothe Wet Cleansing Towelettes Review

I received a package of these Pond's Wet Cleansing Towelettes in a Target Beauty Bag. After the first use, I was amazed at how GREAT my skin looked. I honestly could not believe what I saw in the mirror. My face looked less red and my eyes did not look like they had bags underneath them. A huge bonus is that the towelettes smell great. I have used these after using a face wash and also in place of a face wash and they have the same great results every time.

I will for sure be running out to buy a package of these. They are sold at most drug stores and mass merchandise stores. They retail for around $4-$7 depending on the store and your geographical area.

I am so in love with this product and had to tell you all about my experience. I have always heard of Pond's but usually do not buy their products, however I will now be a loyal customer of theirs!
