Purex Crystals Dryer Sheets Review & Giveaway!

Review:

I loved the smell of the "Fresh Spring Waters" Dryer Sheets! The smell was very strong though. My hands would smell like the dryer sheets after picking up the box and my whole closet still smells like Fresh Spring Water when opening it. This is not a bad thing for me, but it may be for others who are sensitive to smell. The smell lasted on your clothes even after hanging for a few days but it was not as in your face as the smell of the box.

I would really love to try the Lavender Blossom scent. I am a huge fan of Lavender so I will for sure be picking these up next. These are my go to Dryer Sheets from now on. You can not beat the price and they work just as well as other (more expensive) brands. My clothes smell great and they come out of the dryer static free a soft. What more can I ask for?

SURPAHS Precision Digital Kitchen Scale Review

For all my foodies out there I recently got the Surpahs Digital Stainless Steel Kitchen Scale and I am loving it. I have never had a kitchen scale before, but it will come in handy during the holidays and for parties where I am doing a lot of cooking and baking.

The scale measures ounces and pounds so you can also use to weigh packages. I have actually used this scale to weigh some DVDs I am mailing out and it was accurate. So if you ship out a lot you can purchase your postage online (and it is usually a lot cheaper!)

The scale looks great on my counter too. The photo makes it appear longer than it actually is. I also love how large the numbers and buttons are, it makes it easier when cooking. It is powered by Lithium Batteries and the batteries are include when you purchase the scale. You can currently get the scale for $11.98 on Amazon.

If you have any questions about the scale please leave them below and I will do what I can to answer them. The scale is already set up so you can just power it on a weigh and I look how sleek it looks.

Ozeri WeightMaster II Digital Bathroom Scale

Who does not like a sleek looking scale? I know I do! Lately the scales I have seen at Walmart and other stores that sell scales look so old fashioned. I have been a user of the Ozeri Brand for over a year now. Even though they are a bit pricier than picking something up at Walmart and you have to wait to have it shipped it is well worth it when a guest comments on how decorated your place looks. If you want your place to look nice you have to invest in nice looking items.

My favorite thing about this scale, and what separates it from the rest is that it has BMI with Weight Differential Detection. This means that it will not only show your current weight, but also your weight change since you last weighed yourself and also your Body Mass Index. It has a 30 day memory so if you weigh yourself once a week it will remember the past 4 weeks also. I think this is such a cool feature to have on a scale and I am in love with it! Oh and yes, it can recognize up to 8 people so you may allow your family members to use your scale and it will not affect your weigh ins! This scale is also made with a Microban Antibacterial Product that the scale is less likely to attract bacteria and odors.

The scale is easy to use, does not take up too much room, and does not require an extremely lengthy set up! You can purchase the scale on Amazon.

April Popsugar Must Have Box Review & Unboxing

Please watch my unboxing video and then come back and read this post :)

The Popsugar Must Have Box is a subscription box which costs $39.99 per month, BUT all the products you get are full size and the boxes are always worth more than $100! If you love getting surprises than this box is for you!.

The items in the box:

1.) Blueacovado (Eco) Shopper:This is my favorite item in the box. It is such a cute bag and folds and zippers right into a small green case that is actually the bottom of the bag. So excited to have this. This is what I call a Must Have Item! Apparently Lauren Conrad helped design this and I always love all of her designs! Value: $25

2.) Too Faced Natural Eyes: I love getting palettes and I love the neutral shades featured in this one! I am actually getting rid of all of my single eye shadows since I have quite a few palettes now. There is no need for me to have so much eye makeup so I am donating the unopened single shadows and tossing the opened single shadows. It may seem like a waste to you but I have a problem with clutter so I would rather just have the palettes. I will of course hang out to a few favorite singles though. Value: $36

3.) Graphic Image Pocket Notes: I am actually going to try and either sell this or give it as a gift. I personally have no use for a small notebook in my purse (I just use my phone) so not excited for this item. I also do not believe it is worth it's price tag. $20

4.) Caldrea Rosewater Driftwood Hand Soap: My second favorite item in the box. I have wanting to get a hand soap in one of these boxes for a while. It smells so nice too! It did leak out a bit but it was packaged well (in bubble wrap and in a box) so it did not leak on any of the other items, thankfully. $10.50

5.) Fresh Pastry Stand Totally Awesome Tea Towel Set: I was sort of excited for this item. I wanted new kitchen towels but I did not like the material these were made from and also you can not hang them over your oven handles and have the words displayed so I will either sell or give this away, sadly. $18

6.) Naturebox Popsugar Must Have Mix: So there were a couple food items in the last box that I was hating on and then loved them after trying them so I did not want to judge this item too soon. Not loving it though. I will try and eat all of it but just not tasty enough for me. Most of the mix is bland. At least they were trying to make it healthy though. $5

Okay, so here are my thoughts. There was one less item in the box than lasts months and that is because there is no extra this month. Slightly disappointed in that. It was more exciting than last months box for sure but still was not my favorite box to date. Also the value of this box is on the low end compared to most months. What I do like that Popsugar has been changing is how they send the survey out at the end of each month where you can rate the items (at least they are trying!) and also that they include prices on the card for each item (sometimes the small things can make a difference). I am very excited for the Eco Shopping Bag, the Too Faced Palette, and the Hand Soap. Those three items combined definitely make this months box worth my money.

Total value of the box: $114.50

April 2014 Birchbox Review & Unboxing!

View my Unboxing Video and then come back and read my post :)

Overall thoughts: I give this box a rating of 5/5. Another great box this month. There are a couple foil packets but the other items are deluxe sample sizes and are products I will actually use so the foil packets are not hurting the box at all. Birchbox is on a roll, lets hope it continues!

Inside the box is:

1.) Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel | Great sample size and a product I have never tried before. I love how it keeps my brows from getting unruly. I do not use any other brow products but this product is very useful!  Full size, $22

2.)  BeeKind Body Lotion | I love the smell of this lotion, it smelled a lot more like lemons than honey for me though. I love that it is an organic skincare product as well. Full size, $15

3.) Davines Oil Shampoo + Oil Conditioner | These are the foil packets. It is hard to tell at the moment if I will LOVE the product, but I have been getting some use out of them and so far my hair has been very hydrated. Full Size, $26-$32

4.)  Shea Terra Organics Rose Hips Black Soap Deep Pore Facial Cleanser | I am not too crazy about the scent but I love how soft my face feels after using this product. This sample is going to last me the better part of a month as well. It does not look that big but I have already used the product for almost a week and I have not even made a dent in the product inside.  Full Size, $16

5.) KIND Healthy Grain Bar- Maple Pumpkin Seeds with Sea Salt | Wow! I loved this! I am super surprised because I am usually not a huge fan of healthier brands. I loved the sugar and then salt taste. I will be buying these with my Birchbox Points once they are back in stock on the site. Full Size, $11.88 for 15 Bars.

Is this box worth $10: It's close but yes it is worth $10 since a couple of the brands are pretty expensive.
Is this box worth my $10: Even though the box is on the borderline of actually being worth $10, it is definitely worth my $10 since I will be getting use out of all of the products.

Disclaimer: These opinions are my own and I was not asked, nor do I get compensation, to review the box or these items.

Get Walking with a Pedometer- Ozeri Digital Pocket Pedometer Review

It is the time of the year to open your sliding glass doors and start spring cleaning, but don't get stuck inside all day long, go outdoors and go for a walk! An easy way to maintain and lose weight or to just live healthier is going for a walk. If you get winded from running or doing lots of cardio than I suggest walking more often and only doing cardio a couple days a week.

My new favorite toy is the Pedometer. I tried out the Ozeri Digital Pocket Pedometer and am loving how easy it is to track how many steps I take a day. I usually average around 5,000 steps a day while very active people average around 10,000. I would love to meet somewhere in between and am hoping with the warmer weather that I will try and make more free time to go on at least one walk a day.

The pros of this pedometer are that it is small and works in your hand, pocket, purse or bag and that it only tracks your steps and since it is step up to your stride (which you set yourself and it is quite simple) it is not confused by car rides. I also like how it resets every day so you know that it is an accurate count each day, and can also track calories burned! It keeps all your steps saved for 7 days so you can look back and see your progress over the past week.

There are a few cons that I have noticed also. First, the lanyard that came with it was extremely cheap and started to fray. Secondly, setting up the pedometer was quite tiring. I actually had to take the battery out and put it back in to work (though it is fine now), also when setting it up for the first time it does not show you AM and PM when setting the clock. Lastly, the directions display the order on the screen goes from pounds to inches when it reality it goes from pounds to centimeters and does not show you how to switch between inches and centimeters.

Other than the few challenges with setting the pedometer up there have been no issues and it has worked great! If you are looking for a pedometer I suggest checking this one out since it is fairly inexpensive. Right now you can purchase it on Amazon for $15.95. The Pedometer is available in Black and Yellow. Also be sure to check out Ozeri's website for their other amazing products!
