Ozeri INSTAVAC Food Storage Set Review

I have another great Ozeri product to rave about today. I have been using the Ozeri Instavac Food Storage Set for a little over a month now and I must say that I am in love.

This Storage set has as Instant Vacuum so there is no pumping involved! When you press down on the lid all of the air exits! This allows food to stay fresher longer and prevents bacteria from growing. The bottom is also raised a bit so that your food is elevated from the water that sometimes builds up. I mostly keep fruit and vegetables in these as well as cooked meat which seems to last a few extra days than other storage methods. I also keep pure pumpkin in them which allows the pumpkin to be stored in the refrigerator for seven days!

These a dishwasher safe so no need for hand washing (unless you want to!) and you are also able to put them in the microwave so no need to dirty another container or dish!

If you are interested in getting yourself a set they are on sale right now on Amazon for $24.95. It comes in a 8 piece nesting set (easy for storing when not in use).

Book Review: Money Making Mamas

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

I recently had the pleasure of reading "Money Making Mamas" by Lisa Kroulik. I was very interested in reading this book since, as many of you know, I do a lot of activities working from home. Recently, due to Obama Care, my hours at my part time job have been cut. I was once able to work 35 hours a week, but since that is technically considered full time I have been downgraded to 25 hours a week or less.

I have always wanted to see how much I can actually make online from home. Even though the first few months are going to be hard on my savings account I consider this to also be a blessing since I would have never cut my hours and actually tried working from home by choice (I am afraid just as many of you are).

If you are also interested in making money from home then I suggest reading this book. This book goes into a lot of detail on many different job opportunities that you can pursue from the comfort of your home. It tells you the pros and cons of each job (most from person experience of the author) and also outlines important information such as taxes and how to get paid. It goes into detail on how to get paid from advertising on your blog, writing for websites, and many other opportunities than can either take a lot of effort or a little effort (if you are looking to make money part time while having a full time job).

This is a book that I will look back into in the future when I need questions answered about working from home. I loved how much experience the author had on working from home, because of that this book was much more helpful than others I have read on the same topic. I must admit that previous books and articles that I have read on this topic did not teach me much since they only touched briefly on a few things that I already knew, but this E-book taught me so many things that I did not even think to research on the topic! Whether you want a contract job, writing job, or like to do activities such as surveys this is a great read for a work at home pro or someone who is just getting interested in the idea.

This book is available in Kindle Format on Amazon for $3.99. You do not need to own a Kindle to read it, you can read it on Amazon's website once you purchase it.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

"How to Become Fluent in Spanish" Book Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

I have been trying to learn Spanish for the past fifteen years. Mind you that I have of course taken breaks and gone a couple years without learning anything, but the point is that I have studied the Spanish language for fifteen years and I am not even close to being fluent!

Unlike other books that try to help you learn a language, this book is not teaching you the language at all. This book will not teach you words or grammar, however it will teach you a new study system that helped the author become fluent in Spanish after many failed attempts.

If you have been taking numerous language courses and have even tried to spend some time in a country and for some reason you still can not learn the language then you need to read this book! If you follow the study tips in the book then you will certainly be on your way to actually being able to understand and speak the language you want to learn. As the author warns, this book will not help you learn a new language in a month (it will still most likely take you years) but if you put the work into it every day then you will most certainly be able to finally understand what others are saying without asking them to slow down!

I really enjoyed this book and will be using the study tips inside to get back into trying to learn Spanish. The book was not too long and the tips were to the point.

You can purchase the kindle version of the book on Amazon for $2.99.

February 2014 Popsugar Must Have Box Review & Unboxing

Please watch my unboxing video and then come back and read this post :)

The Popsugar Must Have Box is a subscription box which costs $39.99 per month, BUT all the products you get are full size and the boxes are always worth more than $100! If you love getting surprises than this box is for you!.

The items in the box:

1.) Gorjana Brooks Jewelry Roll:Not excited that this was the main item (highest value) in the box. I just have no need for a Jewelry roll. I thought it was a wallet at first and then a clutch and I was excited for either of those. I will probably use it for something but just not excited. Value: $45

2.) Nourish Organic Pure Hydrating Argan Face Serum: I love skin care products so I was happy to receive this! I am not using a face serum at the moment so I will get some use out of this! Value: $24

3.) K Hall Designs Penoy Travel Candle: I do not travel so I wish this were a bigger one, but I see why this size would be useful to some. It has a soap scent to it so it would make your whole room smell fresh! $11

4.) Modelco Lip Pops Duo Lip Gloss and Lipstick: I love that this is a lip gloss and lipstick duo. I have tried a product from this brand before and loved it so super excited for this! I hope it does not leak like the last item I tried from this brand though. $16

5.) Sugarwish Mini Red Cinnamon Hearts: Darn. I do not like Cinnamon Hearts. I wish we got more popcorn (Haha. Do not kill me. I know we got popcorn two months in a row, but I just love it). I will be giving this away. $8.75

6.) NCLA Rodeo Drive Royalty Nail Polish: Love the color, though I do have many like it. I may keep it or may give it away. Time will tell. $16

6.) Dial Vitamin Boost Body Wash: I guess this did not fit the theme of Valentine's Day (Pink/Red items) but it was still a nice extra. I already love this Body Wash so more is welcome!

This box had 1 extra item compared to last months box. It also was higher in value. It seems as if they are making their way back to quality boxes after an early winter slump. Even though two of the items I did not care for (you can not always love all of the items) I am still excited for the items I will use. AND this box makes me super excited to get next months. Alas, I must wait :(.

Total value of the box: $124

February 2014 Birchbox Review & Unboxing

View my Unboxing Video and then come back and read my post :)

Overall thoughts: I give this box a rating of 3/5. This months box was partnered with US Magazine. Usually the partnered boxes are much better than regular months but this one was a bust. Not only were most sample sizes small but they seem like products that are typically in a box. Also, new subscribers got a subscription to the magazine while those who are already subscribed did not get an extra like that. In my eyes they should be rewarding long term subscribers as well.

Inside the box is:

1.) AYRES Bar Soap in Patagonia | It looks like a travel size soap. I will use it. I am more of Body wash person but that is okay.  Full size, $10

2.)  Beauty Protector Protect & Oil | This is a hair oil that also protects against heat and UV rays. I love this brand, all of their products smell great. This is my favorite item in the box. I'd consider this a deluxe sample size item. Full size, $21.95

3.) Eleven Skin perfection Eye Cream & Concelor | Great Sample size and a product that I will actually use so this was worth it for me. Full Size, $30

4.) Juara Candlenut Body Creme | So disappointed! I LOVED this, it smelled so good. I hate that the sample was SO small. This certainly not a deluxe size sample either. I may buy this in the future though, on sale, not for full price.  Full Size, $35

5.) Juicy Couture Couture La La Malibu | Though the perfume smells great I do not want perfume samples, ever. They honestly bring down the value of the box SO much for me. If you are looking for a new scent I do recommend this. Full Size, $52-72

Is this box worth $10: Yes. All of the items were pretty expensive in full size, so even the smallest sizes will add it over $10.
Is this box worth my $10: Absolutely not. Even though I will use all of the products (there was nothing that I hated) I feel I got jipped with receiving both a perfume AND a foil packet. This may be one of my least favorite boxes ever. I still love Birchbox but when they advertise that the box is partnered with a HUGE company, I expect much much more! In the past they have included a special life style extra such as a razor or a full tube of chapstick and I feel in boxes like these were they hype it up so much they should include something like that.

Disclaimer: These opinions are my own and I was not asked, nor do I get compensation, to review the box or these items.

Vitamin C Serum Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

I recently tried out this Organic Vitamin C Serum and so far I am loving it. This serum is recommended by Dr. Oz and it's benefits include:

- Fades Sunspots, Dark Spots, and Discolorations
- Prevents Free Radicals
-Helps Collagen Tighten Skin
- Reduces the visibility of fine lines and wrinkles after 2 months of using.

A serum like this will not show Instant Results but it will help prevent the signs of aging of skin in the long run so it is worth using!

You can purchase this product easily on Amazon for $35.99 and the shipping was super fast (and free!). The product was also wrapped well so that the product got here fast without breaking.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Pine Bros. Softish Throat Drops Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

I am the type of person that will not use any type of cold product when I am sick because I hate the flavor. I am a fan of the Ludens cough drops (because they taste like candy) but I also recently tried out these Pine Bros Softish Throat Drops!

My personal favorite flavor was the Wild Cherry Flavor, but they also come in Natural Honey, Licorice, and next year they will be coming out with Lemon Citrus.

These drops are Gluten Free and are only 5 calories per drop. They come in bags or plastic tubs (which are very convenient to bring with you out and about.)

Pine Bros Softish throat drops are available at
CVS, Safeway, ShopRite, Drugstore.com, Kroger, Rite Aid, and Albertsons to name a few but check out the full list on their website

A real benefit to these being soft drops are that there are no holes in the throat drop that can cut your tongue when sucking. So far I have really enjoyed this product and I know you will too!

For exclusive offers and promotions be sure to check out Pine Bros on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest.

Dial Body Wash Giveaway

Review:

I loved this new Body Wash, in particular I loved the fruity scent. For me a scent can make or break any Beauty Product. Not only do I want to look and feel clean but I want to smell clean. This scent lasts long after your shower. Another great thing about this Body Wash is that it is infused with lotion so your skin feels much more moisturized after a shower than using a non-moisturizing Body wash. It is 20 Degrees here so lets be real I need to put on TONS of lotion ALL the time so this just makes my skin feel SO much better.

Giveaway:

Three lucky readers will each receive a coupon for a FREE Bottle of Dial Body Wash! There will be two Women's Coupons given away and one Men's Coupon. The Mandatory Entry is just asking if you want the women's coupon, men's coupon, or either if you win. See the Rafflecopter below. All other entries are optional but the more you do the better chance you have of winning.

RULES:
+ Must be 18 years or older
+ Must live in the United States
+ Giveaway Ends at 11:59PM ET on Thursday February 13th and winners will be emailed at the email address they provided in the Rafflecopter form. Winners will have 48 hours to respond to the winning email or another winner will be picked.
