Review: MuvUSA Sport & Running Armband for iPhone 5, 5S, 5C and iPod Touch 5 (Black)

I recently got some new workout clothes and they look and feel great but the only downside to them is no pockets! Needless to say I was on the hunt for a way to run with my iPhone without having to hold it.

I have tried the MuvUSA Sport & Running Armband both when running and while at the gym and I love the freedom!

This armband fits my iPhone5 perfectly and is actually pretty comfortable. I have tried it over a sleeve and without a sleeve and it works just as well both ways! What I love most is it does not slip down which is the problem I have had with these types of items in the past. It is easy to use the phone through the plastic cover.

This armband is also sweat and water resistant as well as scratch resistant so you do not have to worry about damaging your phone or iPod. For me a case with a clip would still be the best option but this product is only $12 so it is well worth the cost.

This product comes in Black and Pink and you can purchase it on Amazon for $11.99 with free prime shipping.

December 2014 Popsugar Must Have Box Unboxing & Review

Please watch my unboxing video and then come back and read this post :)

The Popsugar Must Have Box is a subscription box which costs $39.99 per month, BUT all the products you get are full size and the boxes are always worth more than $100! If you love getting surprises than this box is for you!

The items in the box:

1.) SPUN by Subtle Luxury Speckled Metallic Scarf: This is such a pretty scarf! It is not too heavy so it can really be used any time of the year which is a huge plus! Value: $62

2.) Sparklepop Sydney Necklace: Prettiest necklace ever in a Popsugar box? No. Ugliest? Still No. Even though I am not in love with this necklace I will still wear it. Value: $42

3.) Canvas Dauville Platinum Bowl: The only item in this months box that I will not use. I just really have no need for a bowl like this. If it were pretty then I would find something to put in it but I do not really like it as a decoration. $29

4.) Smashbox Be Legendary Long-Wear Lip Lacquer: Super pigmented and super chic color lip lacquer. Love it! $24

5.) Knot & Bow Parcel Tags: I can see why some people may not like having this as an item. However, at the time I opened the box I needed tags for gifts. They do not come with strings which was a bummer so I just stuck them onto the gifts with tape. $4

6.) Williams-Sonoma Cupcake Mix in Vanilla Bean.: I can not wait to try this! I have so much holiday goodness leftover that I want to hold off on making this until I finish all the other leftover treats. Can. Not. Wait!!! $14.95

The total value of the box is awesome compared to the price you pay! I will get much more use out of the items in this box than I did in last months. This box was also MUCH MUCH better than last Decembers box. The last couple boxes however have only had 6 items when most boxes come with 7 or even 8.

Total value of the box: $175.95

Review: iPhone 5/5S/5C Anti-Glare Anti-Fingerprint Matte Screen Protectors

Screen protectors are very important to keep the screen of your phone (or any touch device) protected from direct, oil, and scratches. I usually buy the Zagg brand just because they seem to be one of the most popular on the market but I was recently sent one from Cost Brothers and I like them just as much, if not better, than the Zagg brand.

It fit my iPhone 5 perfectly and I loved how my finger prints and makeup did not show up on the protector making my phone look dirty.

I also loved that the protector was protective but also still very thin so that it did not interfere with the touch screen!

You can purchase a 3 pack on Amazon for $5.49 with free prime shipping! This item is currently on sale but the original price of $23 is still cheaper than the Zagg ones you purchase from Best Buy or Staples.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

November 2014 Popsugar Must Have Box Unboxing & Review

Please watch my unboxing video and then come back and read this post :)

The Popsugar Must Have Box is a subscription box which costs $39.99 per month, BUT all the products you get are full size and the boxes are always worth more than $100! If you love getting surprises than this box is for you!

The items in the box:

1.) Simon & Schuster The Secret Recipes Book : I have no use for recipe books as I find all my recipes online. However, I did sell the book and got about $15-$20 back for it so it was worth getting some money back from the box. Value: $35

2.) SORIAL Saffiano Wallet on  a Chain: This is the big ticket item in this months box and I love it. This wallet is super chic and I love the navy blue color! Value: $49

3.) K. Hall Simpatico Ambergris Shea Butter Cream: Even though I am stocked up like a CVS, a lotion is always a good item to give in a winter box. $22

4.) Tiny Prints Thoughtful Heart Stationery: This stationary is SO cute that I wish I still wrote letters. I am not sure if I will gift it or hang on to it to when I do need to write a note. $15

5.) Wine Glass Writer Custom 3-Pack for Popsugar: These are so cool. You can write on your wine glass and easily wipe it off also so it does not stain the glass. Even though it is cool I personally have no use for it. First, I do not drink wine and second I do not ever have parties so it is just not useful to me. $9.95

6.) G.H Cretors Chicago Mix Poppped Corn: This Popcorn was a delicious caramel and cheese mix. However, only half the bag was filled the rest was air. Still love getting delicious food in the box $3.69

The total of the box was even lower than lasts months total which was lower than most months. Also this box contained two less items than last months box. The box was worth my money since I will personally use half the items and got money back for the book but it was not the most exciting.

Total value of the box: $134.64

November 2014 Birchbox Unboxing & Review!

View my Unboxing Video and then come back and read my post :)

Overall thoughts: I give this box a rating of 5/5. I got a full size item and I got 6 samples (which is great for Birchbox). Not exactly in my favorites but this is how Birchbox should be every month!

Inside the box is:

1.) Amika Nourishing Mask | This hair mask smells nice and I have always liked the Amika brand so I love seeing this in my box!  Full size, $28

2.)  Dr. Brandt Pores no more vacuum cleaner | The sample was not big enough to see results but my face did feel a lot smoother and more refreshed. Full size, $45

3.) MAKE Silk Cream Lipstick & Primer | Will not buy this. The primer I felt did nothing really. Also, the lipstick faded throughout the day and looked cheap. Full Size, $36

4.)  Not Soap, Radio Joy Inducing Body Wash | I chose this as my sample choice. I was not hugely impressed with the choices this month though I did enjoy this nice lemon smelling Body Wash! Full Size, $16

5.)  Ruffian Nail Lacquer in Ruffian Naked | I love that this is a full size nail polish. The color is nice but just a tad light for my taste. It matches my skin tone so does not look like I have polish on. Full Size, $10

6.)  Firecracker ChocoPods | I love when they add food as extras in the box. This was a weird chocolate! It had bits of chipolte AND it had crackle candy in it so you felt the spice crackle in your throat. It DID taste good though. Full Size, $1

Is this box worth $10: YES! The nailpolish alone pays for the box.
Is this box worth my $10: Yes! I feel like Birchbox should always send 6 items though sometimes I get 5 (or even 4!). Even though the nail polish is not in a shade I prefer, because they sent 6 samples it was worth my $10.

Disclaimer: These opinions are my own and I was not asked, nor do I get compensation, to review the box or these items.

Mary Kay Clear Proof Acne System Review

Influenster sent me the Mary Kay Clearproof Acne System for testing purposes. Included in the line is the Clear Proof Clarifying Cleansing Gel, Clear Proof Blemish Control Toner, Clear Proof Acne Gel Treatment, and the Clear Proof Oil-Free Moisturizer for Acne-Prone skin.

I have not tried many Mary Kay products before so I was not sure what to expect but the acne system worked great with my skin! I would even say that it is better than Pro Active! I have used Pro Active in the past but it just did not do much for me.

My favorite products from the Clear Proof line are the Belmish Control Toner and the Acne Gel Treatment. For me, the toner did not dry out my skin (which is very important) and the Acne Gel Treatment got rid of those pesky blemishes fast! The Acne Gel Treatment is white (not clear) and does leave a white residue as it dries. For me the results outweighed that one negative but that might be bothersome for some.

My face is now blemish free thanks to this system which I will continue to use and highly recommend!

I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes. All opinions are my own. For more information about Mary Kay Products or to become involved with Influenster please check out their sites: Mary KayInfluenster

Influenster Moda VoxBox Review

I recently received a box of goodies complimentary from Influenster to review. Take a look at my unboxing video below to see what I got. Underneath the video is my review on all of the products I received. If you want me to send you an invite so you can sign up and get free products yourself please leave your email in the comments section below.

All of the items in this box were right up my alley and were products I would actually use. I feel like this box was tailored towards me so it is no wonder I qualified to receive it!

1.) Rimmel London Scanaleyes Rockin Curves Mascara: $5.49-$5.99 - For starters, I loved the packaging of this mascara. It is so cute! The mascara made made my eyelashes appear much longer and the curved applicator made it easy to reach all of my lashes.

2.) Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lipstick: $6.99-$7.49 - I LOVE this lipstick. I got the shade "As you want Victoria" and it is a nice deep pink/red shade. I have pretty pale skin and I got many compliments on it! Formula was also spot on, moisturizing and long lasting!

3.) Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lip Liner: $5.99-$6.49 - I did love this lip liner as it is clear and can be used for all lipstick shades. However, the price point is a bit steep in my opinion. I would only repurchase it on a sale.

4.) Puffs SoftPack 1 Pack: $1.99-$2.49 - The packaging is so cute I love the design and also how it is soft so it will not get crushed in your bag or in the closet if you stock up! Tissues were soft but durable.

5.) Hair Food Moisture Hair Mask: $14.99 - This hair mask smells so good like apricots! Also, it was SO easy to use and made my hair soft and less frizzy. All you had to do was apply it to damp hair, brush through, and rinse. No, you do not have to wait around in a shower cap for 10 minutes like some masks make you do!

6.) Swiss Miss Simply Cocoa: $2.29 - This was the best tasting at home Hot Chocolate I have had in a while! Even better than the regular Swiss Miss. The chocolate tasted much more real and creamy!

7.) Jergens Ultra Healing Extra Dry Skin Moisturizer: $5.99/$6.99 - This lotion was great for making dry skin feel so much better! I wish it had a scent though. All it had was a regular lotion scent. Still well worth using in the winter time!

8.) Resource Spring Water: $1.49 - Great tasting water in my opinion! They have some great deals on the site for first time purchasers so check out my dedicated blog post for the link and more information about this product!

Like I said previously this box was right up my alley. I was excited to try all the products and I did not have any negative experience with any of the products in the box. I was lucky to be able to try and like or love all the items sent to me!

If you have any further questions on any of the products listed above feel free to leave them in the comments section below and I will do my best to answer them. Once again, if you want to sign up for Influenster to get free boxes leave your email below and I will send you an invite.

Review: MOREA Hyaluronic Acid Age Delay Serum With Vitamin C + Green Tea

Everytime I need a new serum I typically try a different brand than what I have used in the past. Most of the serums I have tried have usually met their claims and done some wonders for my skin but I am also always on the look out for the next best thing!

The serum I have used most recently is the Hyaluronic Acid Age Delay Serum with Vitamin C + Green Tea from MOREA. I like this serum because it works with all skin types. I am a combination skin type myself but this serum is also good for people with sensitive skin.

I tend to have some redness that appears when the weather starts to get colder and this serum boosted the moisture in my skin and reduced those red spots. Along with reducing the redness my skin also appeared brighter and less dull! The serum also claims to reduce the appearance of wrinkles instantly as a result of the Pure Hyaluronic Acid but I do not have wrinkles (thankfully) to test this claim!

I like that the ingredients in this serum do their job and do not clog pores! The serum is 72% organic and 100% Pure Hyaluronic Acid & Paraben Free. They also produce the serum in small amounts so that it can be produced in the United States.

You can purchase this serum on Amazon for $19.99 with free prime shipping!

Review: Resource Spring Water

I got a bottle of Resoruce Spring Water in the Moda VoxBox from Influenster and in case you are wondering how it tastes...it tastes awesome!

I usually drink unfiltered tap water for economical reasons. I have tried the Brita filter but I just hated the soot taste and even after using it multiple times I always ended up with the soot at the bottom of my glass, gross!  I do buy Poland Springs water from time to time but the extra cost just does not seem worth it when I have to lug in it from the parking lot and then up a flight of stairs.

Not only does Resource taste good but it is also better for you than traditional water. Resource adds in electrolytes which actually makes it taste better. Also, all of their bottles are made with 50% recycled bottle material. The water comes from natural springs in California and Pennsylvania.

Whats even better? They deliver it to your door! No more going to the grocery store and then hauling it inside (let the UPS guy do that!)

Check out their site and you get your choice of $8.99 for your first order (if you choose auto delivery) or $14.39 (if you prefer to order it on your own terms).

If you would rather go out and buy the water in store Resource is available at most grocery stores, natural food stores, and pharmacies.

Review: InstaNatural Anti-Aging Skin Clearing Serum

I have already tried a couple of InstaNatural products and they worked quite well with my skin so I was excited to try the Age-Defying Skin Clearing Serum. I do not have any age related skin problems yet but I still want to offset them! I have tried quite a few other serums and though all help my skin look better this serum helped my skin look a lot brighter than it has been. This product contains 20% Vitamin C which helps repair damage skin and prevent future damage! My skin always feels super soft and I have been getting fewer blemishes.

I love that InstaNaturals products are Made in the U.S.A and are not tested on animals! They also offer a full refund if you are not satisfied with their products so there is not reason in my opinion not to at least try their product!

Feel feel to check out my review on InstaNatural's Facial Oil Cleanser and Eye Gel if your are either looking for a complete line of skincare products or are looking to target different areas of your face.

You can purchase this product on Amazon for $23.45 with free prime shipping!

Additional Questions? Leave them below and I will be sure to answer!

Review: Body Merry Serums

If you read my Body Merry Cellulite Defense Gel-Cream Review or my Age Defense Eye Cream Review then you would know that I love the quality ingredients and fast results that Body Merry products provide. I was thrilled when Body Merry asked me to review their Hyaluronic Acid Serum and their 2.5% Retinol Serum.

I have been using the Hyaluronic Acid Serum in the morning and the Retinol serum at night. The Vitamin C and the Green Tea in the Hyaluronic serum have brightened my face and reduced the puffiness under my eyes allowing me to look more awake than I actually feel in the morning.

I have not personally seen such drastic results with the Retinol Serum but this is because I do not have fine lines or wrinkles yet but am hoping to prevent them from both coming on earlier and by reducing their appearance.

All of Body Merry's products are organic and have all natural ingredients which I love. The two serums that I am reviewing are both free from fragrances and alcohol which can both dry out your skin!

Currently you can purchase the Hyaluronic Serum on Amazon for $14.99 and the Retinol Serum for $29.99.

Be sure to also check out Body Merry's Website for more information about their great products!

October 2014 Popsugar Must Have Box Review & Unboxing

Please watch my unboxing video and then come back and read this post :)

The Popsugar Must Have Box is a subscription box which costs $39.99 per month, BUT all the products you get are full size and the boxes are always worth more than $100! If you love getting surprises than this box is for you!

The items in the box:

1.) Happy Socks Animal Socks : These seem like they will be nice and cozy for the winter! They are not ankle socks at all so they will be good to wear with boots without having your socks fall down! Boy do I hate when that happens! Value: $12

2.) butter LONDON WINK Eye Pencil: I love this smoky gray eyeliner. I love the formula, it goes on very smooth! Value: $18

3.) Isaac Jacobs International Acrylic Frame: I love this frame and already have it displayed on my bookcase. The two clear Acrylics are magnetized to stay together but also easily come apart to switch out the picture.  $36

4.) Mine Design Chalkboard Candle: I did not know when I opened the box that this candle comes with chalk and its jar is like a chalkboard. I think this is so cool. I have not used it yet since I want to use up my older candles but I am of course keeping this for myself. $24

5.) Dean & DeLuca Pumpkin Spice Malt Balls: I HATE regular malt balls, but I LOVE these. I am sure that it is the Pumpkin Spice taste that makes me love them! $5.75

6.) Nailed Kit Halloween Decals: I am not usually one for nail art since I always seem to mess it up but they are easy to apply and they lasted all week! $8

7.) K. Hall Designs Shoreline Shea Butter/Olive Oil Bar Soap -  I am more of a shower gel person but of course will use whatever is given to me! I love the smell of this soap! $10

8.) The Blue Jean Bar Blue Jean Box -  You know I do not include these types of items in my total price unless I feel they are worthy and are not considered a coupon. For $20 Blue Jean Bar sends you a box filled with hand picked clothing items and whatever you buy in the box your $20 is applied to that. So Technically if you got the Popsugar box you could get $40 worth of free clothing however I liked 3 of the items sent to me so I bought a bit more. Still a great way to get some nice clothing pieces! $40

The total value of the box is a lot lower than last months box but still higher than other boxes have been. I feel the assortment of the products for me anyway is how I want the box to be every month. I loved all the items so much this month that I am not even selling or gifting any of these items (which is rare since there is usually at least 1 item I do not love). I would say this is def one of my favorite boxes!

Total value of the box: $153.75

October 2014 Birchbox Review & Unboxing

View my Unboxing Video and then come back and read my post :)

Overall thoughts: I give this box a rating of 5/5. I got a full size item in this box and except for the perfume I actually love and will use all items in the box!

Inside the box is:

1.) Atelier Cologne Santal Carmin Cologne Absolue, Collection Metal | I am not a fan of this perfume at all. it is way too strong of a scent and is a mix of a floral scent and a woodsy scent. Also I have mentioned this before but I hate when they include perfume samples that do not have the spray cap. It is actually a good thing I do not like this perfume since a full size is almost a ridiculous $200.  Full size, $195

2.)  Clarisea Rapid Detox Charcoal Exfoliant | You only need to mix in a dollap of this product with your face wash each time you wash your face and it turns your face wash into an exfoliating face wash! I love it! The exfoliate is not too big or too small so that it works without scratching your face. Full size, $18

3.) Ellovi Vanilla Butter | The scent is vanilla but since it is an all natural product it is sort of a natural vanilla smell. Scent aside, the product works great on my dry spots such as elbows! Full Size, $26

4.)  Lord & Berry Paillettes Glitter Eye Pencil in Black | This is a small pencil to fit in your clutch when you are going out! I love that it is a black eyeliner with shimmer and that it does not fade or rub off throughout the night! It also did not irritate my eyes. Full Size, $18

5.)  Mally High Shine Liquid Lipstick in Melon | This was my sample choice! It is a full size Liquid Lipstick and I am in love with the color as well as the application of the product! Full Size, $20

Overall Birchbox Side Note: Some people received a Beauty Blender in their October box as one of their samples. I sadly did not but hope that I can get a great product like that in the future. Birchbox sends out a variety of boxes each month so it is a great possibility that my box and your box will be totally different.

Is this box worth $10: YES! The full size liquid lipstick is $20 so that is already double the cost of the box.
Is this box worth my $10: Yes! I loved the products featured in this box. I could have gone without the perfume but we know Birchbox loves perfume samples ;).

Disclaimer: These opinions are my own and I was not asked, nor do I get compensation, to review the box or these items.

Review: Dr Song Rosehip Oil

Oils are a big deal at the moment and I am loving the Dr. Song Rosehip oil. I have tried a few other Dr. Song products and have always had great results from their line! Their products are always organic and FDA approved!

Rosehip oil is extracted from Rose Bush seeds and quickly absorbs into your skin to heal and hydrate. Some use it as a moisturizer and others use it to reduce the appearance of scars, wrinkles, rashes, acne scars and age spots.

With winter coming my main goal for my face is to make sure my skin stays hydrated. I have been mixing two drops of this Rosehip oil with my daily moisturizer in hopes of keeping my skin hydrated and reducing the appearance of blemishes. So far I am liking the results and hope it holds out when the snow starts falling!

Make sure not to use too much of this product (you literally only need a few drops) as it is a deep yellow tone and can turn your skin yellow. If you have ever heard the phrase "a little goes a long way", it really does here and you can also save money by not using more than necessary.

Right now a 4oz bottle is $19.98 (with shipping) on Amazon. If used sparingly this bottle will last you a long time so it is a good $20 investment! If you have any questions leave them down below and I will of course answer them for you!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Review: Body Merry Cellulite Defense Gel-Cream

I recently tried out the Body Merry Cellulite Defense Gel Cream. I was a little iffy about trying it at first just because I do not have a problem with Cellulite yet. However, I have had these bumps under my thighs for about a year now. I left that area alone and did not shave it for about 2 weeks thinking that was the problem, but it was not.

When I first applied this gel I was in shock. It was such an Icy Hot feeling. I thought I put too much on but that feeling was still there even the next time when I used half the amount. At first, the Icy Hot freaked me out but once I got used to it it did not bother me as much.

In fact, now it does not bother me at all because I am in love with this product. It does not make my bumps disappear completely but it smooths out my skin and makes the bumps go away for about a week or two. I have found that I personally only have to use this product once a week for my condition, however you may need to use it more often or even daily.

I am happy that I have finally found a semi-permanent solution to my problem. It is semi-permanent in the way that as long as I apply this as soon as the bumps reappear then I will have another week free from bumps!

The product is made from a caffeine, retinol, and sea-weed formula. The cream contains natural ingredients such as algae extract, coconut oil, kelp, Japanese green tea leaf extract, cayenne, and 100% natural mint green tea lime fragrance. As with all their products they are free from parabans, sulfates, and phthalates.

You can purchase this product on Amazon right now for $19.99 with free prime shipping.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

How to Make an extra $100+ a year on my new favorite survey site!

I have been doing surveys for years and there are only a select few sites that I stay with along the way. Recently within the last few months I signed up for a new site called MintVine.

MintVine is not the most profitable site that I have and can make money through surveys on but it is the easiest one. You can cash out once you reach 1,000 points which equals $10. So far I have been able to make $10 every month and a half with only doing somewhat bare minimum. No this extra $100 a year will not make you rich but it will sure help out when the Holidays come around.

The easiest way to earn points is to take their daily poll in which you earn 5-10 points depending on the day. They also send out anywhere between 10-30 emails a week (from what I have seen) and you know if you qualify after the first couple questions. If you do not qualify you instantly get 5 points just for trying, and if you do qualify you get anywhere from 40-400 points for taking a survey that will take less than a half hour, with most being around 10 minutes. You already get 300 points for just signing up and filling out your profile! Most of the points (including points from referrals) are in a pending state for about 2 weeks just until they verify that the surveys were taken seriously.

You can also make points through offers and referrals but like I have said I have been doing close to bare minimum so I have not capitalized on these. However, I am sure that people who do can make upwards of $300 a year.

If you guys do decide to sign up please sign up by clicking "HERE" so that I can see what the referral program is all about and then update this post for others! And Yes, when I sign up for sites I always click on a referral link. Why not? Either a person gets the money or the company keeps it. Your choice :)
If you have any other additional questions about the site feel free to let me know in the comments and I will do my best to answer them.

REFERRAL UPDATE: Once a person signs up under your link you get 50 points. You can also make 15% of the points they make from surveys. You ONLY get 15% from surveys (included the funnels) that they complete. You do NOT get money from their offers (such as groupons), they daily polls, or the surveys that they screen out of.

This is a legit site in which I personally have been paid. You can choose the payment options of Paypal, Amazon Gift Card, or Dwolla.

Review: Ozeri 8" Green Earth Frying Pan

I recently was sent the 8" Green Earth Frying Pan by Ozeri! I was in the market for a new pan to make an omelette with and this one is perfect! It's size is perfect so that the egg is thick enough without spreading too thin and I love the pan is 100% PTFE and PFOA Free! It is scary to read about the harmful chemicals in all of our products these days and I love companies who try and not include these chemicals in their products.

It was super easy to clean too which is usually the reason why I do not make any type of food with eggs as often as I would like. It was easy for me to remove the extra egg from the pan without scratching the surface at all.

So far I have used the pan several times and the size is perfect for someone like me who often cooks small meals just for themselves.

If you have any questions about the pan feel free to let me know. This pan also comes in 10" and 12" sizes in case you are one who cooks larger meals.

If you would like to purchase the pan on Amazon you can grab it for $24 with free prime shipping. The 10" and the 12" pans are a bit more expensive.

This product was sent to me from Ozeri for review purposes. All opinions are my own. I did not receive any compensation for this post.

September 2014 Birchbox Review & Unboxing!

View my Unboxing Video and then come back and read my post :)

Overall thoughts: I give this box a rating of 2/5. This has been my least favorite box in the 2+ years that I have been subscribed. I would have given it a 3/5 but Birchbox lost a point after I saw what others actually received in their boxes. I am very disappointed in mine and definitely got the runt of the boxes this month. The only thing I am stoked about was the sample that I chose.

Inside the box is:

1.) Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum | The serum felt nice, smelled pretty good, but only lasted 2 uses and therefore I do not know what it actually did for me. Unfortunately, because this item was so expensive I think this is the item that counted for the majority of my box.  Full size, $79

2.)  Dear Clark Resurrecting Wash | I have not tried this shampoo yet. I will try it but it is like a woody scent that I would not have chose for myself. Sample size is okay but still not as large as the shampoos they sometimes send are. Full size, $24

3.) Dear Clark Resurrecting Rinse | Even though it is called a Rinse this is a Conditioner. It was sent along with the shampoo. Like I said I will use it but I wish it did not count as a whole separate item from the shampoo. Full Size, 24

4.)  Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser Starter Kit | I picked this as my sample choice because it was the best item offered. I did really like this when I have gotten in the past so I am of course happy I got this. It is a Birchbox Exclusive but makes your skin feel super clean and smooth! Full Size, $24.50

5.)  Smashbox Cosmetics Be legendary Lip Lacquer in Coral | I have so many lip products that I will not use this for a while. My second favorite item in the box but it is on the small side. Full Size, $20

Overall Birchbox Side Note: I still love their sample choice but for Octobers box there were 3 lip product options and 1 eyeliner option. I do not need Lip Products or Eyeliners like AT ALL at the moment. I chose one of my lip products anyway but wish they would have mixed it up a bit more!

Is this box worth $10: Probably yes just because the full size Caudalie is SO expensive that my tiny weeny sample is probably worth the cost of the box.
Is this box worth my $10: No. I would have not paid $10 for this box. I would have been sad missing out on the Liz Earle but I KNEW I was getting that. All my SURPRISE samples were just kind of did not do it for me this month. If they had thrown in a lifestyle extra or a 6th item I probably would have been a lot happier!

Review: MY Konjac Sponge

For those of you who have not heard of MY Konjac Sponge it is a face sponge that is made from Konjac fiber which is retrieved from the root of the Amorphophallus Konjac plant. The root of the plant is known for its minerals and vitamins and has been used for a very long time in Eastern Asia as part of their beauty routines.

MY Knojac sponge products are never tested on animals and carry both the Vegan Society and Leaping Bunny logos. The sponge is 100% natural and biodegradable. You can use the sponge with or without cleanser though my face obviously felt the cleanest when using it with a cleanser. You can save a lot of money on cleansers since you only need a fraction of what you would normally use since the sponge makes the facial cleansers lather better than if you were using your hands or a face cloth.

My skin has appeared much brighter and I am getting fewer pimples from using this sponge. The sponge deep cleanses better than when I was using my hands and gets into the nooks and cranny's (like around your nose) that I may otherwise miss. The sponge is reusable, just rinse and squeeze the moisture out after each use (do not ring it out as it may damage the sponge) and lay flat or hang to dry. It is recommended you replace the sponge every couple months.

Right now you can get the My Knojac Sponge on Amazon for $10 with free prime shipping! If you prefer shopping at a brick and mortar store you can also purchase the sponge at Whole Foods!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

September 2014 Popsugar Must Have Box Review & Unboxing!

Please watch my unboxing video and then come back and read this post :)

The Popsugar Must Have Box is a subscription box which costs $39.99 per month, BUT all the products you get are full size and the boxes are always worth more than $100! If you love getting surprises than this box is for you!

The items in the box:

1.) Tilo Scarves Modal Gradation Scarf in Raisin : This is such a cute scarf. It is lightweight and perfect for fall and will match with a lot of my outfits! The one I received had a stain on it so I am waiting for a new one to be shipped to me at the moment so I have not been able to wear it yet but I am dying to! This scarf is sold at Saks Fifth Avenue, Fred Segal, and Ron Herman. Value: $125

2.) Nicole Miller Stereo Earbuds: Love, Love, Love these. They are dark blue but also chic looking. They come with three removable ear pieces that are in different sizes so I found that to be cool! Value: $20

3.) Oribe Superfine Purse Size Hair Spray: I hardly ever use hairspray so I will be giving this away.  $21.50

4.) Letter C Design Gold Foil Arrow Pencils: Not too excited to be getting pencils in my box. They are black and have a nice gold arrow on them but will I ever use them is the question. I have always been a pen person myself. $5

5.) Rifle Paper Co. Garance Dore Assorted Girls Set: While this would have been cool for me ten years ago I never write letters or notes these days. I MAYBE write one a year (and that's pushing it!) so for me to hold on to these is just a waste of space when I have so little space as it is. I will either sell them or give them away. $18

6.) Urban Remedy Almost Brownie: This is a 100% Organic Brownie. This one is okay. It is not terrible tasting so I will eat it but I do not really get a craving for it either. Also they are really overpriced! $6

7.) Nike $20 Gift Card -  FINALLY they send an actual gift card. This card IS worth $20 (no minimum purchase) and ALSO comes with a free shipping code. I have not ordered anything yet but obviously I will not waste it ;).

7.) Ghirardelli Milk Chocolate Sea Salt & Almond Minis -  These are really good! I love getting bags of chocolate in the boxes! Also these are a little healthier since they have Sea Salt and Almonds but are not an organic gross tasting food so I like them! Sometimes I just feel like Popsugar includes a lot of healthier but gross tasting snacks! $4

Not in my top 5 favorites but definitely a GREAT box! Even though I will not use half of the items (sad but true) I will use ALL of the big ticket items in the box so the box was still well worth my money! Also, this box is a MUCH higher value than they have been in a while! It is funny because the scarf alone costs the exact amount ($125) as the total cost of all the items in August's Box did!

Total value of the box: $219.50
