June 2015 Birchbox Review & Unboxing!

View my Unboxing Video and then come back and read my post :)

Overall thoughts: I give this box a rating of 5/5. This box came with a full size item and there were six items in the box which I have not received that many in a while. Plus there was a lifestyle item which I have not received in a while either.

Inside the box is:

1.) Dr. Jart+ Dermaclear Micro Water | I chose this item as my sample choice item since I have been wanting to try a cleansing water for a while now. So far I am loving it! It makes my face feel just as clean as using face wash. Full size, $32

2.) La Mav Green Clay Detox Mask | I have so many mask products right now that I will not try this for a while but I still love getting skincare items in my boxes. It is pretty small sample for this type of product though. Full size, $29.95

3.) Marcelle Waterproof Eyeliner | I got the Indigo Dark blue shade and I love it! It also really is waterproof and stays put throughout the day! Full Size, $11

4.)  Temple Spa Good Hair Day Shampoo | I am not a huge fan of this earthy scent but I will still try it out eventually. Full Size, $14

5.)  Temple Spa in Good Condition Conditioner| This has a different smell than the shampoo. The conditioner has a peppermint smell. It is pretty strong but i still prefer it over the shampoo scent.  Full Size, $14

6.)  Pura Vida Lace HeadbandWe have not had a lifestyle item in the box in a while so I am excited for this. I do not use headbands usually but will find a way to use it. It is really cute.  Full Size, $18 for pack of 8

Is this box worth $10: Yes. The Eyeliner is worth more than the cost of the box alone.
Is this box worth my $10Yes. Six items, Lifestyle item, and full size item. A box is hardly this good!

June PetGiftBox Review & [COUPON CODE]

Please watch my unboxing video and then come back and read this post :)

PetGiftBox is a monthly subscription box for, you guessed it, your pet! They offer a cat box (which is the one I am reviewing) and they also offer a dog box (which has 3 selections based on the size of your dog). The boxes cost $17.99/month for a yearly subscription, $19.99/month for a 6 month subscription, $22.99/month for a 3 month subscription, or you can pay monthly and the cost is $27.99/month. You can also purchase a one time box if you would like to send one as a gift.

Each box contains between 4 and 6 items that are hand picked by the PetGiftBox team. The items in the box can include treats, toys, and other home items.

My cats love getting these boxes! It is a nice treat for them to get some new toys and goodies!

If you want to get your own box for your pet you can use the coupon code 'codyandkaci' at checkout to get 25% off your first box! To sign up or find out more info visit www.petgiftbox.com

This months box contained a bunch of treats and toys!

The items in the box:

1.) Plush Dinosaurs & Catnip Spray: My cats loved playing with these dinosaurs! They sometimes play with them without me spraying the catnip on them but they obviously prefer it with the catnip scent! Such a cute idea and I like how they came with the spray (instead of having the catnip inside) so that when the catnip smell wears off I can just spray it back on. Value: $13.99

2.) Purely Natural Buffalo Bites: Only Cody eats these. Kaci likes to smell them but is not interested in actually eating them. Cody is obsessed, though some of the pieces are really big so I have to rip them apart for him. Value: $3.99

3.) Bungee Teaser Wand: This is a fun toy for us to play with together! They love playing with this! Anything on a string gets them going! $4.99

4.) Scratch and Roll: This says it has catnip in it but the cats have had no interest in it. It could just be that they are too interested in the other toys at the moment. If they do not play with it soon I will spray the catnip spray on it to see if it gets them interested in it.  $7.99

5.) Authority Chicken Dental Treats: I like that they included dental treats. My cats still love the taste and it is a bonus that it cleans their teeth. (They need this, terribly!) We have used Authority brand Dry Food in the past so I like that we recognized the brand. $3.99

This months box was a Jurassic Park theme. I thought it was so cute that they had the Dinosaur Plush toys and Buffalo Bites, they really went well with the theme! Also, some people got the wrong product description card in their box. I got the correct one but it looks like they sent an email to everyone with a correct card just in case. I liked that they went and corrected this error even though it was not a huge one. Also, they made it cute and stayed with the theme by noting "Oops! Dino Attack! Call the Tricercops! So sorry but it seems like a T-Rex got into our warehouse and mixed up the cards. We have our team locking down the area but in the meantime here is the right product description card for your box"

PetGiftBox supports America's Vet Dogs which is a non-profit organization that provides guide dogs for disabled veterans. These dogs also help PTSD patients at VA Hospitals. It is great to see a company that is helping the community.

Total value of the box: $34.95

PetGiftBox sent me a complimentary box for review. All opinions are my own and I do not recommend any products or services that I would not use myself. No other compensation was received.

Product Review: PolarGel Cool Pillow Mat

The past week I have been using the PolarGel Cool Pillow Mat. I was intrigued by this product since I am the type of person that is always flipping the pillow over to the cooler side! This Mat helps regulate body temperature and helps you have a more peaceful sleep!

You can use this Pillow Mat by either putting it on top of your pillow or by putting it inside of your pillow. I found the latter to be more comfortable. The Pillow Mat did not move much while I was sleeping but if needed they do include straps which will help keep the Mat from slipping out of place.

The Pillow Mat stayed cool enough on most nights that I did need to "prepare" it. However, on days when I knew it was going to be scorching at night I did put the Mat in the fridge just so it was a little cooler!

Overall I am very impressed with this product. I have not had any issues with it being uncomfortable or slipping and have found myself waking up less because of the heat.

You can purchase this iso cool pillow on Amazon for $29.97. They also have a 30 day return policy if the product is just not for you.

This product was sent to me complimentary for review however all opinions are my own.

June 2015 Popsugar Must Have Box Review & Unboxing!

Please watch my unboxing video and then come back and read this post :)

The Popsugar Must Have Box is a subscription box which costs $39.99 per month, BUT all the products you get are full size and the boxes are always worth more than $100! If you love getting surprises than this box is for you!

The items in the box:

1.) Quay Australia Mandate Sunglasses: We have never had sunglasses in the box before so I was excited for these! I wish these would have came in a color other than black but it looks like everyone got black ones. I love them anyway! Value: $45

2.) Judy Blume's In the Unlikely Event Book: We have not received a book in the box in a while. Personally I do not really read fiction so I sold this book. Value: $27.95

3.) Pacifica Enlighten Eye Brightening Shadow Palette: I love this shadow palette! The colors are great for summer. The shadows are creamy and do not crease! $14

4.) Yogitoes Peacock hBand: I do not do Yoga so this item in not for me. This is my least favorite item the box and do not know what I will use it for. $4

5.) Spongelle Boxed Flowers-Fleur en Boite: This is a Body Wash Buffer. I have never tried one of these but it smells amazing (very fruity) so I can not wait to try it! $16

6.) Snap Infusion Supercandy: They gave us two packs of these and they were so good they are already gone! $4

Also, included is a $30 Gift Card to Sweet & Spark. I do not count this as an item unless I personally can get on the site and order something without spending extra money. The good thing is that the code never expires and that it seems like everything on the site comes with free shipping. The bad thing is is that there was only one item the gift card would cover and it was sold. I will check back but based on this I do not count this as an actual item in the box, therefore it is not included in my total value of the box.

This has been my favorite box since January. The selection of products is great and most of the items not only will I use but I am super excited about!

Total value of the box: $110.95
