July 2015 Birchbox Review & Unboxing!

View my Unboxing Video and then come back and read my post :)

Overall thoughts: I give this box a rating of 4/5. I like most of the items but can not rank it with some of my favorite boxes.

Inside the box is:

1.) Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray | I personally do not really use or need a texturizing spray but it can also be used as a dry shampoo so I will keep it. Full size, $22-$42

2.) Stila Look at me liquid lipstick | Everyone got one of these in the box. If you chose your sample choice for the month you got to choose the color you wanted. I chose a bright pink color called Bella and I am so happy with it. This is my favorite item in the box. It is so pigmented and looks beautiful on the lips! Full size, $20 for set of 3

3.) StriVectin-AR Advanced Retinol Eye Treatment | I am always excited to try out new skincare items but the sample is so small compared to the box. Full Size, $75

4.)  theBalm cosmetics Balm Desert Blush & Bronzer | I may or may not use this eventually. Not a huge fan of the sample packaging. It is so small so you have to use a small brush to get it out. Full Size, $21

5.)  Whish Three Whishes Body ButterThis smells amazing and is a decent size so I am happy with it.  Full Size, $24

Is this box worth $10: Yes. The Liquid Lipstick is almost the cost of the box and considering the Eye Treatment is so expensive the little sample pushes it over $10.
Is this box worth my $10Yes. Since I love the color Liquid Lipstick I got. All the rest of the items are just a bonus.

Disclaimer: These opinions are my own and I was not asked, nor do I get compensation, to review the box or these items.

July 2015 Popsugar Must Have Box Review & Unboxing!

Please watch my unboxing video and then come back and read this post :)

The Popsugar Must Have Box is a subscription box which costs $39.99 per month, BUT all the products you get are full size and the boxes are always worth more than $100! If you love getting surprises than this box is for you!

The items in the box:

1.) Henri Bendel Signature Stripe Canvas Dopp Kit: This is such a nice clutch! It is cute and has lots of room. You can use it for anything really or makes for a great gift! Value: $28

2.) Supergoop! Defense Refresh Setting Mist SPF 50: I was SO excited to see this in the box. I have been wanting to try a makeup setting spray forever and I do feel it makes face makeup last much longer. Plus the extra SPF is great! I need to work on my spraying skills though because I always miss my cheek and either get my eye, nose, or ear lol. Value: $28

3.) Sorial Card Case: I could really benefit from one of these. It is a super skinny card pouch where you can fit your credit card, some cash, and ID when going out. I also love the red color. $28

4.) PopDental Portable Toothbrush: I do not travel really so this toothbrush was not too exciting for me. I will use it but I just did not need it in the box. $19.99

5.) Yes To Blueberries Cleansing Facial Wipes: I love this brand and was so excited to see this huge pack of wipes in the box! $5.99

6.) The Good Bean Fruit & No-Nut Bar, Chocolate Berry: This was one of the better tasting healthier bars! I still prefer Skinnygirl but I would buy this one as well. $1.99

7.) Hallmark Signature Greeting Cards: I have not opened these yet but someone told me that we get a wedding card, a blank card, and a travel card. I am not sure if I will use these or pass them on yet but they seem cute. $14.97

This was another great box. I can not say I loved it as much as last months but it was pretty close! I was happy that there was seven actual items in the box instead of one being a gift card.

Total value of the box: $126.94

July PetGiftBox Review & [COUPON CODE]

Please watch my unboxing video and then come back and read this post :)

PetGiftBox is a monthly subscription box for, you guessed it, your pet! They offer a cat box (which is the one I am reviewing) and they also offer a dog box (which has 3 selections based on the size of your dog). The boxes cost $17.99/month for a yearly subscription, $19.99/month for a 6 month subscription, $22.99/month for a 3 month subscription, or you can pay monthly and the cost is $27.99/month. You can also purchase a one time box if you would like to send one as a gift.

Each box contains between 4 and 6 items that are hand picked by the PetGiftBox team. The items in the box can include treats, toys, and other home items.

My cats love getting these boxes! It is a nice treat for them to get some new toys and goodies!

If you want to get your own box for your pet you can use the coupon code 'codyandkaci' at checkout to get 25% off your first box! To sign up or find out more info visit

Filled with cat toys! The cats are loving it!

The items in the box:

1.) Knock Out Treat Dispenser: This is a little toy that you put treats inside and if your cat plays with it they can get the treats out. Unfortunately, my cats have no interest in trying to get the treats out. Cute idea though. Value: $5.99

2.) Knob Goblin: This can hang right on the door so that cats can play by themselves. My cats prefer it when I play with them or when it is just on the floor. Regardless it is still a toy they love. Value: $5.99

3.) Cloud 9 Eggsplosive Treats: We got the egg flavor. One of my cats loves these and the other just likes the smell but once she licks it she does not want it. They smell horrible but if he likes it he gets it. Haha. $3.99

4.) Swat N Bobble Octopus: This toy has catnip inside and has a suction cup so it can stick to the window. My cats love this toy! After a while they knock it down though so it is a toy that should be supervised.  $5.99

5.) Play Cave Tunnel: This toy tunnel is their favorite item in this months box. Unfortunately the ball that was attached to it already broke off somehow but they still love it regardless if the ball is there or not. $7.97

The past couple months have featured a lot of toys! My cats have been loving these boxes. They get so excited when they see the box. They smell it and sit on it/scratch at it until we open the box. PetGiftBox is such a good monthly gift for your furry friends! The value of this months box is lower than other months but the selection of items was not compromised.

PetGiftBox supports America's Vet Dogs which is a non-profit organization that provides guide dogs for disabled veterans. These dogs also help PTSD patients at VA Hospitals. It is great to see a company that is helping the community.

Total value of the box: $23.93

To sign up go here: and do not forget to use coupon code "codyandkaci" to get 25% off your first box.

PetGiftBox sent me a complimentary box for review. All opinions are my own and I do not recommend any products or services that I would not use myself. No other compensation was received.

Product Review: Pest Sentry Electronic Indoor Bug Zapper

This is the first bug zapper I have ever tried so I was excited to see how it would work. I have used candles and sprays to keep the bugs away but never an actual zapper.

I was very impressed that this zapper lit up very well! The light came out on all sides of the unit really drawing the bugs into the unit (and away from me!). The zapper is pretty loud though so it does scare my cats. Therefore I am only going to use this outside and not actually have it indoors.

There is a removable tray making it easy to dispose of the dead bugs and it comes with a hanging unit if you would like to hang it up. I personally just sat it on the ground.

The only huge turnoff for me was the cord was pretty short so an extension cord was absolutely necessary for me.

You can purchase this bug zapper on Amazon for $59.97 with free shipping! They also have a 30 day return policy if you are not happy with the product.

This product was sent to me complimentary for review however all opinions are my own.
