Book Review: 39 Day Lifescape

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

39 Day Lifescape Become A Better You is a self help book in which the author, Jaha Knight, expresses some great ideas on how to better yourself in every aspect of your life.

I thought the book had some great ideas, but most of them were ones that I have heard before in other self help books. What makes this book different than others of its kind is that the author is very persuasive in a way that is helpful that you almost feel bad not completing the exercises in the workbook. I thought the exercises were very helpful and I definitely changed my view on a lot of things in my life. Now how long will I stay motivated to change is the question.

Get the E-book yourself on Amazon for only $3.99,
the workbook is included.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Tidy Cats Lightweight 24/7 Perfomance Cat Litter Review

I recently tried out the new Tidy Cats Lightweight 24/7 Performance Cat Litter and my cats and I love it! It is a clumping litter for multiple cats and the built in deodorant lasts for days on end. Usually I have to add the Arm & Hammer Litter deodorant to the box after one of my cats uses the bathroom but this litter covers up the smell very well!

The bottle is also nicely designed and you are able to carry and pour the litter very easily. This is a great bonus for me since I am not too strong and lifting 40lb bags of litter is tough since I have a long walk from my car to my apartment. The only thing I may dislike about this litter, even though it is affordable, is that you will have to go out and buy litter more often since it is a smaller bottle and will run out faster than a bigger bag but this is just a minor headache compared to all its benefits.

Questions? Leave them below. If you have not watched my review video above yet, be sure to do so!

Mill City Bread Co. Review

I love to bake but my problem is that sometimes what I bake does not come out looking good. I tried the Mill City Bread Co Bread Mixes and there were so easy to make. Each Bread kit comes with complete instructions and all the ingredients you need (this make it easy, no measuring!).

My favorites (so far) are the Artisan Ciabatta Mix and the French Boule Mix. Not only did my breads come out delicious but they were not that hideous either. When I need to bake bread in the future I will be sure to use Mill City Bread Co again.

If you would like to try out their bread mixes yourself check out their website (right now they have all mixes on sale!) All of their mixes are all natural and have no GMO's or artificial ingredients. Their website also has all the kitchen essentials for baking bread in case you do not have bread bakers and bread knives.

Be sure to let me know what you think when you try them out for yourselves!

Ozeri 8” Green Earth Textured Ceramic Nonstick Frying Pan Review

I had the pleasure of trying out the Ozeri 8" Green Earth Textured Ceramic Nonstick Frying Pan which is 100% PTFE and PFOA Free. As you may know, I have been a fan of the Ozeri products for a while now. All the Ozeri Products that I have tried have been very high quality and have lasted through my abuse (though I do not intend to abuse my products, I am not the best cook or the best cleaner).

What I love about this pan specifically is its size. It is the perfect size to cook a meal for a single person and it is easy to store. My main problem with kitchenware is that it is too big to store in my small kitchen. This pan is great for someone who makes small meals and lives in a small apartment or a dorm. The textured bottom also makes it much easier to clean, and it prevents food from getting stuck to the bottom of the pan!

Right now the pan is on sale for $23.35 on Amazon. While you're there feel free to check out the other products from Ozeri and also be sure to check them out on facebook for special offers and promotions.

If you have any questions about this pan or any other Ozeri Products feel free to leave them below and I will do my best to answer them!

December 2013 Birchbox Unboxing & Review

View my Unboxing Video and then come back and read my post :)

Overall thoughts: This box is a 4/5 for me. The sample sizes are great but there was just a lack of excitement for a few of the products. Overall though this box was not too disappointing but I still would have liked to see an extra 'extra' for the Holiday.

Inside the box is:

1.) Benta Berrry G-1 Exfoliating Facial Cleanser | Smells good but it is a bit too small for me to actually tell if I like the product or not.  Full size, $16

2.)  Camille Beckman | I love this hand cream! It smells SO good! The sample size looks small at first glance but a little goes a long way. I have already used it quite a few times and I still have a lot of product left. Out of my price range, but I  may get it at some point with my birchbox points. Full size, $14

3.) Number 4 Non Aerosol Hairspray | I have not tried this yet. I very seldom use hairspray so I am not too excited for the this product. Full Size, $30

4.) Secret Agent Beauty Nourishing & Plumping Gloss in Foreign Intelligence Flirt | The color is just okay, nothing special, but I will try it since it is plumping. Once again, no excitement though.  Full Size, $18

5.) Emily's Chocolates Milk Chocolate Fortune Cookie | I thought this was really tasty but $1 for 1 fortune cookie, no way jose!  Full Size, $5.99

Is this box worth $10: No foil packets and no perfume so due to the sample sizes the box does add up to more than $10.
Is this box worth my $10: Yes. I am happy with a few of the products and even though there are a couple I am not excited for there is nothing in the box that I hate.

Disclaimer: These opinions are my own and I was not asked, nor do I get compensation, to review the box or these items.

Copy Kids Review & Giveaway

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

Copy Kids is a unique interactive DVD that teaches kids the importance of eating healthy foods including fruits and vegetables.

While watching the DVD you serve your kids the foods that correspond with the DVD. My friend and I watched this with her daughter and her daughter (who usually hates vegetables) at least gave them a try with the DVD. Kids always want to copy their peers and since they see their peers eating fruits and vegetables, your kid will want to also!

This DVD is geared towards kids ages 5 years old and younger. Though it is not guaranteed that your child will be ASKING for fruits and vegetables afterwards it is well worth the shot.

I am giving ONE lucky winner a DVD of their own! Be sure to enter below. If you want to buy the DVD now for the holidays check out the DVD on Amazon.

December 2013 Popsugar Must Have Box Review & Unboxing

Please watch my unboxing video and then come back and read this post :)

The Popsugar Must Have Box is a subscription box which costs $39.99 per month, BUT all the products you get are full size and the boxes are always worth more than $100! If you love getting surprises than this box is for you!.

The items in the box:

1.) Lulu Frost for Popsugar Bracelet: Not a terrible looking bracelet, but it looks a lot cheaper than what it is worth! I would have rather received a cheaper bracelet with a few extra items instead of this bracelet with lesser items.  Value: $110

2.) Mixt Studio Holiday Gifting Set: This is not an item I expect to find in a must have box. I may use it to wrap some gifts (not sure since I have most of them wrapped already) but honestly not excited for it. Value: $9

3.) Modelco Fibre Lashxtend Black Mascara: Even though I already have enough mascara to last me for years this is one of the better items in the box so I can not complain about it. $20

4.) Govino Go Anywhere Flutes: Seriously hate this item. I will not use it, and I probably will not even gift it. We just got an ugly wine tote last month and now we get ugly glasses. This is just not a must have or want item for me. $12.95

5.) CC Made Caramel Corn: Loving this! It is so good! Yum! $4

6.) NCLA Peppermint Lane Nail Wraps: I hate these nail stick ons. They never work for me. They always fall off with my first shower. I will throw it in with someones Christmas present but it will not do them much good either since the Holidays will be over by then. $16

7.) 2 Bags of Ghirardelli Squares Chocolate: A lot of people are hating on this, but I wanted to try the Holiday chocolates anyway. My favorite item in the box, sad but true. $8

I am just not a fan of this box. I did have high hopes for it. During the summer/fall Popsugar had some great boxes. Then the price went up and the boxes have gone downhill from there. I was hoping that this box would be filled since it is the holidays but no it was not filled and it looked pretty much empty. At least it did not include one of those "Gift Cards"

Total value of the box: $179.95  This box is the highest in value I have ever received (or at least one of the highest). However, that is mainly due to the bracelet. I would have been much happier if they would have included one or two more items. The bracelet, mascara, and food products were great products. But the wrapping paper, flute glasses, and nail wraps totally ruined the box for me.

Kmart and Sears Free In Store Pick Up Program

I am excited to announce that Kmart and Sears now have an awesome and FREE In Store Pick Up Program! Read on to find out how to take advantage of this great service that will for sure make your Holiday Shopping A LOT easier!

The holidays seem to be the busiest time of the year. Between shopping, untangling lights, wrapping (or unwrapping) and baking dozens of cookies, your regular life doesn't press pause. You can only read so many articles on 'holiday hacks' before you realize that unlike the miracle of Santa getting down a chimney, there is no Christmas miracle for making the holidays less busy. You can, however, find little ways to relieve the stress and smile more. One way I've found is using free in store pickup and earning more points while shopping. Both Sears and Kmart offer $10 back in points when you spend $59 and free in store pickup, letting you earn more points while shopping thousands of gifts online in the comfort of your own home before picking up your items in store in 5 minutes guaranteed (or whenever you're ready).

With in store pickup you'll avoid lines, busy stores and the wasted time of walking down every aisle. The bow on top: You can have a friend or relative pick up your order and pay in store with cash, if you prefer. Now it's no question that you should do your holiday shopping at Sears and Kmart while earning more points and try the free in store pickup at Sears or Kmart but there's now a question of, what will you do with more free time over the holidays and your extra points? A few ideas include: give yourself a gift using your points before volunteering at a shelter, making gingerbread houses with the kids or simply putting your feet up and enjoying the view of the Christmas tree.

Learn more at Sears: http://bit.ly/HL896t and Kmart: http://kmrt.us/1bmIoRk

This event will be running from Saturday 12/7/13 at 6PM CT through Tuesday 12/10/13 at 9AM CT Online. You can also take advantage of the one day In-Store event which is Sunday 12/8/13.

Book Review: Expert Guide to Home Organization

I have a huge problem you guys, and that huge problem is the clutter that resides in my house! Clutter has become my official roommate, except it does not give me any rent money! For a couple of years now I have tried to get my place organized, and finally I am happy to say that it is a work in progress.

For years I have been reading book upon book about organizing. The last book I read was the book pictured to the right, Expert Guide to Home Organizing Edited by Rhiana Jones. While this book did not spark any magic in me more than any other book of it's kind, what I did like about this book is that each chapter was written by a different professional organizer. I feel that this really maximizes the information that you get from a book since every professional organizer has a different niche.

I world recommend this book to anyone who is looking to organize their home. It is a quick read and gives you a lot of information. You can buy the E-book on Amazon for only 99 cents!

My main problem is that everything has a memory and therefore I do not want to get rid of anything!! If you have any tips for me or a story of your own to share feel free to leave it below!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
