January 2017 PetGiftBox Review & [COUPON CODE]!!

Please watch my unboxing video and then come back and read this post :)

PetGiftBox is a monthly subscription box for, you guessed it, your pet! They offer a cat box (which is the one I am reviewing) and they also offer a dog box (which has 3 selections based on the size of your dog). The boxes cost $25 per month. You can also purchase a one time box if you would like to send one as a gift. Like other boxes, PetGiftBox does have a rewards program where you can earn points for free products and boxes. Also, every purchase helps feed 10 rescue pets!

Each box contains between 4 and 6 items that are hand picked by the PetGiftBox team. The items in the box can include treats, toys, and other home items.

My cats love getting these boxes! It is a nice treat for them to get some new toys and goodies!

If you want to get your own box for your pet you can use the coupon code 'codyandkaci' at checkout to get 50% off your first box! To sign up or find out more info visit www.petgiftbox.com

The items in the box:

This months theme: Best of 2016

1.) Petstages Plaque Away Pretzel:Luke and Vince seem to really like to clean their teeth with this. Luke bites at it so hard I feel like he is going to rip out his tooth. To make them more interested in it I did spray the catnip spray on it and it seemed to get them more interested. $3.99

2.) Feline Harvest Dental Treats: The cats seem to enjoy these treats. They are on the bigger side so I do monitor them since my cats sometimes do not chew and just swallow so just watch out for that with any dental treats. I do like to give them each a dental treat a day though.  $4.99

3.) Buddy Biscuits Grain Free Cat Treats: These are made in the USA with real chicken and vegetables and are grain and gluten free. These are soft and small treats so the cats, especially Kaci, love to chew on these.  $2.99

4.) PetCandy Candy Stix Catnip Toy:This was Kaci's favorite item in the box the last time we got one of these. I am so glad we got another because Kaci protects her's like a dog protects a bone. On the other hand now they are all fighting over this one. The catnip is pretty strong so I can understand why. All the cats like to lick this toy so I hate picking it up since it always has slobber all over it.  $8.83

5.) Supercat Plush Dinosaurs & Catnip Spray: My cats like to kick these dinosaurs sometimes but are more interested in the spray on their other favorite toys than on these dinosaurs. I feel like that is because it takes more spray to cover the dinosaurs than other toys so since it is so widespread they may not smell it as much. It would have been cool if these already had a catnip smell and to maybe spray them once that wore off. $13.99

6.) Tricksters Lattice Balls: All three of my cats are having a ball chasing these around. Luke enjoys them the most and will play by himself a bit but mostly I need to shake them and throw them around to get them going crazy for them. The package came with 2 orange balls, and 2 black balls. These are hard balls with bells in them. $1.99

7.) Multipet Scratch & Play: My cats are not interested in this one very much. Luke likes the feathers and if I dangle the feathers and the ball he will jump at it but for them to play with themselves and roll it does not happen. It says it has a catnip smell but I do not smell it. I am going to try to spray it with the catnip spray and see what happens from there. $7.99

Total Value: $44.77 This months box has such a great value, even if you only buy the one time box you are getting way more than the cost of the box. Even though these were repeat items it was great that this box was loaded with so many toys and treats. Even if you do not need duplicates of some of the items there are many pet rescues that will happily take these for their kitties who are awaiting furrever homes. Overall, a great box where we will get use out of most of the items. The theme was perfect for January for including items from last year- and some of the items were even from 2015 so for those not subscribed back then this was a huge box of items!

PetGiftBox supports America's Vet Dogs which is a non-profit organization that provides guide dogs for disabled veterans. These dogs also help PTSD patients at VA Hospitals. It is great to see a company that is helping the community.

PetGiftBox sent me a complimentary box for review. All opinions are my own and I do not recommend any products or services that I would not use myself. No other compensation was received.
