November 2014 Birchbox Unboxing & Review!

View my Unboxing Video and then come back and read my post :)

Overall thoughts: I give this box a rating of 5/5. I got a full size item and I got 6 samples (which is great for Birchbox). Not exactly in my favorites but this is how Birchbox should be every month!

Inside the box is:

1.) Amika Nourishing Mask | This hair mask smells nice and I have always liked the Amika brand so I love seeing this in my box!  Full size, $28

2.)  Dr. Brandt Pores no more vacuum cleaner | The sample was not big enough to see results but my face did feel a lot smoother and more refreshed. Full size, $45

3.) MAKE Silk Cream Lipstick & Primer | Will not buy this. The primer I felt did nothing really. Also, the lipstick faded throughout the day and looked cheap. Full Size, $36

4.)  Not Soap, Radio Joy Inducing Body Wash | I chose this as my sample choice. I was not hugely impressed with the choices this month though I did enjoy this nice lemon smelling Body Wash! Full Size, $16

5.)  Ruffian Nail Lacquer in Ruffian Naked | I love that this is a full size nail polish. The color is nice but just a tad light for my taste. It matches my skin tone so does not look like I have polish on. Full Size, $10

6.)  Firecracker ChocoPods | I love when they add food as extras in the box. This was a weird chocolate! It had bits of chipolte AND it had crackle candy in it so you felt the spice crackle in your throat. It DID taste good though. Full Size, $1

Is this box worth $10: YES! The nailpolish alone pays for the box.
Is this box worth my $10: Yes! I feel like Birchbox should always send 6 items though sometimes I get 5 (or even 4!). Even though the nail polish is not in a shade I prefer, because they sent 6 samples it was worth my $10.

Disclaimer: These opinions are my own and I was not asked, nor do I get compensation, to review the box or these items.

Mary Kay Clear Proof Acne System Review

Influenster sent me the Mary Kay Clearproof Acne System for testing purposes. Included in the line is the Clear Proof Clarifying Cleansing Gel, Clear Proof Blemish Control Toner, Clear Proof Acne Gel Treatment, and the Clear Proof Oil-Free Moisturizer for Acne-Prone skin.

I have not tried many Mary Kay products before so I was not sure what to expect but the acne system worked great with my skin! I would even say that it is better than Pro Active! I have used Pro Active in the past but it just did not do much for me.

My favorite products from the Clear Proof line are the Belmish Control Toner and the Acne Gel Treatment. For me, the toner did not dry out my skin (which is very important) and the Acne Gel Treatment got rid of those pesky blemishes fast! The Acne Gel Treatment is white (not clear) and does leave a white residue as it dries. For me the results outweighed that one negative but that might be bothersome for some.

My face is now blemish free thanks to this system which I will continue to use and highly recommend!

I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes. All opinions are my own. For more information about Mary Kay Products or to become involved with Influenster please check out their sites: Mary KayInfluenster

Influenster Moda VoxBox Review

I recently received a box of goodies complimentary from Influenster to review. Take a look at my unboxing video below to see what I got. Underneath the video is my review on all of the products I received. If you want me to send you an invite so you can sign up and get free products yourself please leave your email in the comments section below.

All of the items in this box were right up my alley and were products I would actually use. I feel like this box was tailored towards me so it is no wonder I qualified to receive it!

1.) Rimmel London Scanaleyes Rockin Curves Mascara: $5.49-$5.99 - For starters, I loved the packaging of this mascara. It is so cute! The mascara made made my eyelashes appear much longer and the curved applicator made it easy to reach all of my lashes.

2.) Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lipstick: $6.99-$7.49 - I LOVE this lipstick. I got the shade "As you want Victoria" and it is a nice deep pink/red shade. I have pretty pale skin and I got many compliments on it! Formula was also spot on, moisturizing and long lasting!

3.) Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lip Liner: $5.99-$6.49 - I did love this lip liner as it is clear and can be used for all lipstick shades. However, the price point is a bit steep in my opinion. I would only repurchase it on a sale.

4.) Puffs SoftPack 1 Pack: $1.99-$2.49 - The packaging is so cute I love the design and also how it is soft so it will not get crushed in your bag or in the closet if you stock up! Tissues were soft but durable.

5.) Hair Food Moisture Hair Mask: $14.99 - This hair mask smells so good like apricots! Also, it was SO easy to use and made my hair soft and less frizzy. All you had to do was apply it to damp hair, brush through, and rinse. No, you do not have to wait around in a shower cap for 10 minutes like some masks make you do!

6.) Swiss Miss Simply Cocoa: $2.29 - This was the best tasting at home Hot Chocolate I have had in a while! Even better than the regular Swiss Miss. The chocolate tasted much more real and creamy!

7.) Jergens Ultra Healing Extra Dry Skin Moisturizer: $5.99/$6.99 - This lotion was great for making dry skin feel so much better! I wish it had a scent though. All it had was a regular lotion scent. Still well worth using in the winter time!

8.) Resource Spring Water: $1.49 - Great tasting water in my opinion! They have some great deals on the site for first time purchasers so check out my dedicated blog post for the link and more information about this product!

Like I said previously this box was right up my alley. I was excited to try all the products and I did not have any negative experience with any of the products in the box. I was lucky to be able to try and like or love all the items sent to me!

If you have any further questions on any of the products listed above feel free to leave them in the comments section below and I will do my best to answer them. Once again, if you want to sign up for Influenster to get free boxes leave your email below and I will send you an invite.

Review: MOREA Hyaluronic Acid Age Delay Serum With Vitamin C + Green Tea

Everytime I need a new serum I typically try a different brand than what I have used in the past. Most of the serums I have tried have usually met their claims and done some wonders for my skin but I am also always on the look out for the next best thing!

The serum I have used most recently is the Hyaluronic Acid Age Delay Serum with Vitamin C + Green Tea from MOREA. I like this serum because it works with all skin types. I am a combination skin type myself but this serum is also good for people with sensitive skin.

I tend to have some redness that appears when the weather starts to get colder and this serum boosted the moisture in my skin and reduced those red spots. Along with reducing the redness my skin also appeared brighter and less dull! The serum also claims to reduce the appearance of wrinkles instantly as a result of the Pure Hyaluronic Acid but I do not have wrinkles (thankfully) to test this claim!

I like that the ingredients in this serum do their job and do not clog pores! The serum is 72% organic and 100% Pure Hyaluronic Acid & Paraben Free. They also produce the serum in small amounts so that it can be produced in the United States.

You can purchase this serum on Amazon for $19.99 with free prime shipping!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Review: Resource Spring Water

I got a bottle of Resoruce Spring Water in the Moda VoxBox from Influenster and in case you are wondering how it tastes...it tastes awesome!

I usually drink unfiltered tap water for economical reasons. I have tried the Brita filter but I just hated the soot taste and even after using it multiple times I always ended up with the soot at the bottom of my glass, gross!  I do buy Poland Springs water from time to time but the extra cost just does not seem worth it when I have to lug in it from the parking lot and then up a flight of stairs.

Not only does Resource taste good but it is also better for you than traditional water. Resource adds in electrolytes which actually makes it taste better. Also, all of their bottles are made with 50% recycled bottle material. The water comes from natural springs in California and Pennsylvania.

Whats even better? They deliver it to your door! No more going to the grocery store and then hauling it inside (let the UPS guy do that!)

Check out their site and you get your choice of $8.99 for your first order (if you choose auto delivery) or $14.39 (if you prefer to order it on your own terms).

If you would rather go out and buy the water in store Resource is available at most grocery stores, natural food stores, and pharmacies.

Review: InstaNatural Anti-Aging Skin Clearing Serum

I have already tried a couple of InstaNatural products and they worked quite well with my skin so I was excited to try the Age-Defying Skin Clearing Serum. I do not have any age related skin problems yet but I still want to offset them! I have tried quite a few other serums and though all help my skin look better this serum helped my skin look a lot brighter than it has been. This product contains 20% Vitamin C which helps repair damage skin and prevent future damage! My skin always feels super soft and I have been getting fewer blemishes.

I love that InstaNaturals products are Made in the U.S.A and are not tested on animals! They also offer a full refund if you are not satisfied with their products so there is not reason in my opinion not to at least try their product!

Feel feel to check out my review on InstaNatural's Facial Oil Cleanser and Eye Gel if your are either looking for a complete line of skincare products or are looking to target different areas of your face.

You can purchase this product on Amazon for $23.45 with free prime shipping!

Additional Questions? Leave them below and I will be sure to answer!

Review: Body Merry Serums

If you read my Body Merry Cellulite Defense Gel-Cream Review or my Age Defense Eye Cream Review then you would know that I love the quality ingredients and fast results that Body Merry products provide. I was thrilled when Body Merry asked me to review their Hyaluronic Acid Serum and their 2.5% Retinol Serum.

I have been using the Hyaluronic Acid Serum in the morning and the Retinol serum at night. The Vitamin C and the Green Tea in the Hyaluronic serum have brightened my face and reduced the puffiness under my eyes allowing me to look more awake than I actually feel in the morning.

I have not personally seen such drastic results with the Retinol Serum but this is because I do not have fine lines or wrinkles yet but am hoping to prevent them from both coming on earlier and by reducing their appearance.

All of Body Merry's products are organic and have all natural ingredients which I love. The two serums that I am reviewing are both free from fragrances and alcohol which can both dry out your skin!

Currently you can purchase the Hyaluronic Serum on Amazon for $14.99 and the Retinol Serum for $29.99.

Be sure to also check out Body Merry's Website for more information about their great products!
